Why We’re Skipping WorldPride in DC (But Still Celebrating Hard!) 🥳

Yes, it’s true—we’ve been to Capital Pride in DC the past two years (and had a blast), but this year… we’re mixing things up. Instead of sticking to the District, we’re heading south for not one but TWO Pride celebrations we've never experienced before—Zipolite Diverso and Vallarta Pride! 💦🍑

We’ve been to both Zipolite and Puerto Vallarta plenty of times (hello, gay beach heaven), but this is our first time diving into the glitter-filled fabulousness of their Pride events. Expect steamy stories, pool parties, beach antics, and a few surprises—we’ll be sharing it all with you in the coming weeks here and on YouTube. 🎥

But don’t worry, we did sneak in a quick DC trip recently for a bit of doctor drama (Trai had an eye specialist appointment—update: we now have a referral in Mexico City 👀). While in town, we couldn’t resist hitting up some of our favorite gay spots in the city:

🍸 Little Gay Pub – Same sexy crowd, now with a location in Philly too btw!
🍑 Green Lantern – We’re talking shirtless (and pantsless!) Thursdays, and yes, the crowd is HOT 🔥
🐻 Uproar Lounge – Rooftop beer bust Sundays are back and booming (best for bears!)
🦅 District Eagle – We made it to their grand opening, and trust us, she’s already legendary 🖤

Now, if you are headed to WorldPride DC, here's some insider scoop for you:

🎉 The parade route? We loved watching from shady little T Street, right before the official start at 14th & T NW. Minimal barricades, max swag. (And yes, we used last year’s swag for an ABC—“Anything But Clothes”—party. Our outfits were... creative, lol.)

🍷 Don’t miss the final day street party on Pennsylvania Avenue with epic Capitol views! The La Crema wine tent was the unsung hero last year—free wine tastings (and refills if you tip right 😉) in a stunning setting. Not VIP. Just... there. And delicious.

🎶 Planning to go dancing at Eagle, Bunker, or Crush? Go early and check socials—the lines get wild, and we’re not sure how they’ll squeeze in any more bodies this year!
