Because you're playing fictional characters ( still waiting for a Marx and Engels cosplay with Alcoholy ๐ ) in a fictional situation, and the decor is part of that fiction, and participates in that fiction. Like the rest, it helps us feel that these images are not a random human in a random costume, in a random decor, but a real character in his universe, concrete, consistent and tangible ๐๐ฟ And the fact of using the decor twice in a row, and above all, with characters from different universes, breaks the fiction. Because we can see and feel, therefore, that this decor is not a 'place', specific to a universe, a character, and its fiction, but that this decor, is just a decor, in the manufactured, crafted sense of the term and feel it ( even if this decor is not literally fabricated ) And this, breaks the fiction of the character, and reminds us that it's a cosplay. But it's so frontal and omnipresent in the image that we literally can't keep our eyes off it, and not look at it, which is very intense. But at the same time as the pose is very frontal, and presents your shapes and curves in a very direct way, the pose is not flat at all, and remains very dynamic, organic, and mesmerizing ๐ Also, I note that such a frontal and direct pose is perfectly suited to a character like Satsuki, who is confident, charismatic, assumes herself completely, and doesn't seem to be embarrassed by any situation.
