This design, inspired by a true vintage dress worn by the character Betty Draper on Mad Men, is a charming classic.
The beautifully sculpted bodice creates an hourglass illusion with the ruched cummerbund and has an optional back bow.
Make it with either the frothy bubble skirt, the full gathered skirt, or the slim pencil skirt for three very different looks. There's even a dramatic bishop sleeve option with a slit opening, perfect for showcasing a lace border—and showing a bit of skin!
This pattern is available in Charm sizes 2-20 and 18-34 (with bust A-H) and is available for purchase at the Charm website.

I just checked my messages and I don't see the pattern, but I'm a society member.
2023-05-01 21:18:34 +0000 UTCGertie team… I am wondering if I can solicit advice on adjusting this skirt for myself (4’11”). I usually take off 6 inches from my skirts but I cannot figure out how I would adjust the bow on this pattern.
