Skill-Building Tutorial: Shirring with Elastic Thread

In this video, I added a small shirred panel to the back of the Harlow Pajama top. Another great way to use this technique is to shirr the waistline of the Popover Dress in a spiral pattern or shirr an entire back panel like in the Jane Set (see photos below!).
I used Guttermann Elastic Thread, which comes in several colors.
I've heard reports of some computerized machines not cooperating well with elastic thread. I've never had a problem using the method I describe on both my mechanical Bernina and my computerized Juki. Please share if you have tips for any cantankerous machines!
