Saturday's Q&A Live Stream!

Hi everyone! As a reminder, I will be going live on Saturday, February 22nd at 2 pm EST. You can watch the live video in this post, but I highly recommend that you go to this YouTube link so that you can participate in (or at least view) the chat:

https://youtu.be/X4M1ufdSEjI

You can go to the link and set a reminder now if you like! If you watch the live here on Patreon, you won't see the chat but you will be able to view the video. Note that YouTube may ask you to "create a channel" to comment; this is just a YouTube account that is apparently required for you to participate in the live chat.

If you can't make the live stream, don't fret! You will be able to watch it here anytime.

This is my first time going live with more advanced equipment than an iPhone, so it may be a bit of a learning experience for all of us! If any of you are pros at this type of thing, feel free to send your wisdom on best practices for live streaming. (I'll be using a Sony A7ii through an Elgato Camlink, and I have my laptop hooked up to my router with an ethernet cable, if that means anything to any of you. I'm particularly concerned about internet speeds and freezing.)

Please let me know if you have any questions. See you tomorrow!

Just received it from Amazon and it is awesome! Thanks for the hint!

I'm so excited for the next month pattern and videos. I am a size 20 J bust so I love the Charm line for sure for myself. As far as menswear. I DO sew menswear and do own a few complementary modern patterns for retro shirts (I modify them to be a little more high end from the original pattern with flat felled and tailored seams etc). So if it's okay we could discuss them in a single facebook group thread even though they aren't Gertie patterns but do go well with the line. I'm in the middle of another group of projects but I'll try to dig out some knit fabric to do this next pattern.

Hi ALL! 🙂 I posted this into the live comments, but I thought I’d add it here too.... for vintage inspired menswear I have used the book The Gentleman's Wardrobe: Vintage-Style Projects to Make for the Modern Man by Vanessa Mooncie. It’s a great jumping off point to get into menswear that I’ve used for my hubby and son.
