Added 2021-12-14 12:18:44 +0000 UTCSo have been looking at the Sony ZV1 and Swarms ASMR confirmed it's a good one as that's what she uses and it has fast auto focus.
π€ but there are so many to choose from.
While searching I found that the camera I have does have issues with unpredictable auto focus π
.
I can't grumble though it's been wonderful and someone did buy it for me so although it's really frustrating when the picture is good it's amazing.
The Sony is around Β£700 so not too bad for the quality.

Yeah, it's by far the most expensive anything I ever got, but the A6300 and so forth are very good too and within "normal" price ranges. Almost pocket sized and stellar video capabilities. It doesn't have too much on the newer ZV though, aside from the lenses being interchangeable - and that might not be a dealbreaker for ya. Anyway Sony is a good choice!

2021-12-15 19:55:45 +0000 UTC+1 for Sony. Been using them for years, and just upgraded to the A7III. Killer video / focusing performance throughout and a decent phone app which is actually somewhat useful. The A6xxx's are also very capable and I guess they've come down a fair bit in price too. Granted, you'd have to add on lens(es) to that, which is usually where it goes horribly expensive instead lol.

I did look it up and it looks great except for the one con where it said Sony ZV1 has a "tight lens" meaning video footage from that camera appears closer than it actually is. That normally wouldn't be an issue for some people but you do tend to a lot of close-up videos so I'm not sure it that'd be an issue or not.
