Big Changes Are Coming
Added 2022-10-17 19:11:26 +0000 UTCHey guys! As some of you know, I briefly mentioned in our last YouTube video that things had to change regarding Skylark, And a lot of stuff will.

I don't to catch you guys by surprise so I'll lay out the fact here. I've been working on webtoon for around 4 and a half years now, and for some time now I've been very disillusioned with webtoon as a platform. It's been my full time job and my main priority for most of that time, and I've finally have come to terms with a very simple fact.
Webtoon will NEVER properly compensate me for the amount of work I've been putting into it, but that doesn't mean I'm leaving.
I will be forever grateful for the opportunity that the platform has provided me, and the community we've built thanks to it. But the truth is, that that the platform itself will never pay the bills (they barely pay their original creators).
It's mostly been thanks to you all that I've been able to keep myself alive all this time, so it seems pretty clear to me what i have to do.
Skylark is back on visual development! A.K.A IT NEVER GONNA LOOK THE SAME. From now on, amongst other things, skylark will be in black and white. The aim is to figure out a new (maybe a bit sloppy) art style that will help me save a ton of time so I can deliver the same amount of story per month in less updates.
What will i do with this extra time?
Skylark IS NOT my sole focus anymore. i will keep working on this story alongside other projects yet to be announced, and in doing so hopefully have a lot more exclusive content for you guys.
I will also try to relocate time to work on our YouTube channel and getting back to streaming.

I love the characters, that's why I'm here. While I'm story focused I will miss the colors. Perhaps one day we'll get a book printing kickstarter with colors. Would personally love a full bodied character art of the main characters with colors should anyone else join or there be any redesigns/transformations. Perhaps splashed across a chapter cover (wink wink, nudge nudge). I'm here till at least this stories end, you seem too fun to ever lose me with a boring arc.

At the same time though, I look forward to seeing you develop your art style further to keep giving us quality content while saving yourself some time.
