WAHOO. IT'S DONE!

This painting is for Calico's LOVELY, fantastic, wonderful fic, Rosa Angeli (AO3, Explicit, if you couldn't tell). It is posted through Chapter 3 at the moment, but Chapter 4 (where this illustration will be featured) will be up THIS SATURDAY and you should all go read it. Seriously. It's one of my favorite ongoing series.

Here we have Roman!Crowley and Aziraphale with Angel!Crowley (aka Raphael) in the lads' bath. Here's the opening to Chapter 4:

Their own small, private marble-and-ochre bathhouse was probably Aziraphale’s favourite room in the villa. Not because he liked to spend endless days in the bath - although that wasn’t unheard of - but because Crowley had put so much of himself into it. Spending time there, it was impossible not to think of Crowley.

The baked earth tones of the walls reminded him of Crowley’s hair, spread in his lap, as they caught the last rays of the evening sun together. The various ophidian ceramics that Crowley occasionally collected had found a home there. And of course — the plants.

Initially Aziraphale had thought they were all local plants which had caught Crowley’s eye, and this suited him fine - Crowley was the one attending to them, after all. Then as time passed Aziraphale came to realise that if, when they were off somewhere or other together, he happened to admire a plant in passing, there was a good chance that within a few weeks he would find one flourishing in his own bathroom.

He didn’t make a fuss about it, and Crowley never mentioned it either. But thereafter, he made a point of being a bit more aware of the botanical interests they encountered together, and silently enjoyed it as their collection grew and grew.
