Subject of the next video: a new project incoming?

Hello everyone!

Today I have some very exciting news to announce! Some of you may know that I announced a project a while ago called Terraria Direct.

Terraria Direct would be an event happening every few months where you would find exclusive trailers for upcoming mods or mod updates. My goal with this project would be to gather the whole community once in a while and create a huge moment of hype while seeing what's to come for modded Terraria.

Well, you would be pleased to know that we officially started work on this project! So here is our plan of action to make this rather ambitious project work

Phase 1: Explaining the event to the community

The very next video I will upload will be along the lines of "We are doing the first tModLoader showcase event!" This video will serve as an introduction to the project so that the modded player base can acknowledge the idea and will already be familiar with it once the real first event happens.

In this video, I will talk about:

• The general idea of doing a live modded Terraria showcase and how it could bring a huge amount of hype into the community

• How the event will take place, basically what people can expect from it

• What we need to do to actually make an event like this work. For example, since I want the event to look professional, I could hire editors to help me with animations or trailer making or even commission music for the theme or jingles that would appear in the event

• Call for mod devs / content creators to participate in the project: I already am in contact with a quite a lot of content creators and mod developers, so I will ask them if they have anything to share for the event, but I will also set in place an application process to let a chance for smaller but motivated content creators / mod devs to use the platform that would be Terraria Direct to show to the community what they have been working and what's planned for the future

Phase 1.5: Preparing the event:

When the initial video comes out, I expect content creators and mod devs to reach out to me, and it will be at this time that I will recruit all the editors, sound designers, composers we will need, as well as filling all of the slots for mod trailers and asking the content creators I know to make guest appearance to talk about certain subject. Without wanting to spoil too much, I wanna say that I already am in contact with a certain modded content creator which will help me with this project ;)

Phase 2: The Terraria Direct

When everything is ready, a date will be chosen and announced in advance. When that date comes, the Terraria Direct will be broadcasted on YouTube by the form of a YouTube Premiere. What I hope to see is a lot of people present during the live event, speculating about the mods and update that could be announced and creating a lot of hype and anticipation for what's to come

Phase 3: Preparing for the future

Ideally, the Terraria Direct won't only be a one time event. It would make much more sense and would be much more exciting if the showcase was a recurring event. It won't obviously be like every day, since you need to wait for mod devs / creators to come up with things to present and we want the event to be packed with a ton of interesting content, which takes time to do! So something like one Direct every 4-5 months seems pretty reasonable to me, as we still have to keep in mind that it would be a group project with a lot of moving parts, different people involved in it, etc... If there is enough substance in the community to make a Direct sooner, it will happen sooner. If the community doesn't have a lot of interesting things to showcase, then it could happen later.

One good side effect this event could have would be to motivate mod devs to get content ready for the next Terraria Direct, as they would already know that they would have the eyes of the entire modded community.

Well, this was probably a lot to unpack, but I really wanted to talk to you all about this project, as it could very well change the direction of my whole channel, which could become a sort of hub of the modded community to get new information or get hyped over what is planned for the future of the game.

As of right now, we are at phase 1 of the plan, I am currently preparing the video presenting the project, which shouldn't take very long to make, so expect more news about this very soon!
