Demonetized

Today YouTube disabled monetization on my whole channel. Guess why? Sexually gratifying content. I can’t believe it.

I can reapply in a month only and there’s no guarantee it’ll be approved.

I feel so literally devastated.

Most creators on this platform make money through ad clicks and when viewers see ads. Say what you will with what type of ads are effective for you, but ultimately, adblocker hurts creators. But do what you will! Be a "demonetized" viewer. hehe... Hopefully though, you will get rid of adblocker when Ana gets re-monetized. :)

Call me a rebel or a cheat if you must, but I believe the way advertising is often done has a negative impact on creators and their relationship to viewers. Adblock will never block a creator plugging a product in their own videos or hide links the creator posts, and that is the only way advertising has worked on me anyway. I care if you care.

Don’t use adblock! That affects creators if you block ads. 😉

Lol thank you so much for your solidarity :)

I haven't heard about float plane! Thank you for mentioning.

Well, not only did I switch to patreon you continue supporting one of my favorite asmrtists, I cancelled youtube premium. Back to using adblock. How do you like them apples, youtube?

Dam auto correct I meant Vimeo has werid and arbitrary video rules. Essentially you have to use a paywall or baked in sponsorships

Vine has werid and arbitrary video rules

The closet things would be like lbry but it's not user friendly. Vimeo still has werid and arbitrary videos due to them not being able to afford as much storage. The most serviceable option these days is using YouTube to post all super clean stuff that can't at all be misunderstood then posting the rest behind a paywall like float plane that way you still get the user discovery of YouTube but then you get the uncensored hosting of float plane

No it doesn't exist the issue is google has other projects that supported YouTube and payed for the massive losses they made from it being able to stream videos to thousands of people is extremely expensive and the staff needed to pull it off well is also expensive and all the hardware and servers.

Has anyone found a decent replacement for Youtube?
