No animation in August + what's going on

First of all, a voice actor for Sunny?
I’m a bit lost here. I’d kinda want a proper voice actor, but I’ve never worked with voice actors, and have no Idea who would be the best for Sunny’s character. If you know someone with similar voice who you’d think is good for the role, do tell me XP
Awesome new head rig
I’m pretty far in creating a 2D pony head rig which I can seamlessly rotate 360 degrees horizontally, and +-45 degrees vertically. It also has efficient controls for lipsync and facial expressions. It will be super cool once I get it working, but I have to say it’s been super hard and exhausting. I barely know what I’m doing, and it feels like I achieve very little each day. This is hands down the most complicated rig I’ve ever done: I’ve spent weeks on it, and it’s the main reason I’m still far away from completion with the Sunny animation. I really want to get the rig done first so I can utilize it, since it should speed things up a lot and help make it uniform in style.
New lighting system
I have also been learning to use the proper lighting system of TBH, which takes into account (movable and highly customizable) light sources and height maps assigned to layers. Until now I’ve used simple apply-transform method, which basically turns the entire input (character) into a matte (mask in the shape of the character), then moves the matte a bit, and applies that matte as highlight and tone. Both ways of creating the shading have their ups and downs though.
Last university course
I’ll be off my computer for pretty much the rest of the month, as I’m right now sitting in a (11 hour long) train to the last, week-long field course that I need for my master’s degree. (I’ve been waiting for this course for 3 years, as they arrange it only every other year and it was repeatedly postponed due to covid. I was sort of hoping covid would further prevent the course, as then I could had completed a much smaller version of it without the field part.) Some time later, maybe in spring 2022, I still need to do an internship for 1-2 months, and I’ll probably pause Patreon payments and take a short break from animating. This degree is quite worthless to me at the moment, since I plan on working as an animator anyway, but if I didn’t complete it, that would mean I wasted 6 years on it at the university. And I guess it’s nice to have a backup plan in case something goes wrong.
