It could use a bit more top speed, but with the Rear Diffuser - Part A, the grip and handling make up for the overall performance. It laps SPA in 2:17 and performs excellently on the Nordschleife, but it’s not suited for the Le Mans event due to high fuel consumption.

2024-08-04 23:22:45 +0000 UTCBut in theory, it sounds like BOP could fix maybe possible abuse of the PP system. Do you know if PP is calculated based on automatic or even real track time simulation? I have never read anything about PP exploits, but at the same time I wonder how they calculate the speed if you have something like a low rpm favored power output. I find the effort of balancing cars fascinating because even a full track simulation doesn't level the field, since AI doesn't know how to drive an unusual tune.

2024-08-04 19:36:01 +0000 UTCBOP stands for Power, Torque and Weight. Normally it is to level all cars in the same class, but currently Group 3 and Group 4 are well balanced in terms of performance. It also depends on the tracks, some cars perform better on some tracks than others. In real physics, the PP balance should work. I have tried it several times. For example, if you set 10 cars to the same Weight, Power and Torque, and the same tires, gear changes, the performance should be exactly the same, but it is not the case in GT.

And what is the base of the PP calculation (only the numbers we see on the left or a real track simulation)? I heave heard from games where the car performance is evaluated of a real simulated AI driving your tune on a track. But how do they handle short shift builds where the power is in the low RPM range? If PP is based on performance with automatic, you could basically trick the system with a low RPM tune to get a faster car. Or does the Power evaluation account for the peak power RPM? I guess you could also trick the system with a strange transmission setup, isn't it?
