Subaru Impreza 22B STI '98 - 4WD - 600PP - Sport Medium Tires - All Track - 1.60

4 STARS CAR SETUP ****

-Wide body
-Size "17 - Rims Width wide - Offset wide
-Front A - Side A - Wing Custom

It’s a very performant car that can keep up with the very best on the Nordschleife. I also tested it on Tsukuba using this long gearbox, and it delivered excellent performance—my fastest 600PP lap there so far. The handling isn’t perfect, though; there’s a slight issue with the front end. You can feel a kind of vibration under compression when turning the wheel. I’ve tried various settings to fix it, but nothing worked. It’s not a major issue—the performance remains strong—but the sensation isn’t ideal.

Enjoy your drive. ><(((((((°>°°°°°

I'm doing the same @adam salerno, and have compiled a ranking table of Tokyo tunes, nerd that I am! Keen to try this. I'm using controller and am a middling driver. If Praiano says 2.09 I get get a win, but I'm around 3 to 4 seconds per lap slower than the maestro. There's something about those swooping bends, and the difficulty level, that makes this track very satisfying.

Continuing my tour of 600PP gems for Tokyo. What this car lacks in top speed (say compared to the GT-R '17), it makes up for in handling. This car is four-wheel driftable which makes turn-in easier, and the drift is predictable not jerky, so you can rely on it bend after bend. It does make for some hairy moments in the first and 2nd to last corners, but it is definitely useable. A couple of other things I noticed that more than make up for the lack of top speed: (1) Braking distance is superior to the GT-R '17 even with full weight reduction which helps in the the first corner and the last one; (2) Turning radius is superior to any car I have tried at Tokyo so far. That, coupled with the predictable drift makes exit onto the long main straight quicker. I ran fuel map 1 for 5 laps, fuel map 2 for 1 lap, then pit. I forgot to take that into account when I was taking fuel and had to run fuel map 2 the rest of the race. Suswillo caught me slowly but I still pulled out 3 second win. I think on fuel map 1 for the second half, it would have been 10-15 seconds.

Wrong tires, my bad!!!

I don't know how you were able to win with no f1 change and only one stop for gas only. Top race time is 2:11.136 and my lap time is 2:13.989. The other problem I'm having is that I don't have to shift into 5th until I'm almost at the 1st corner. How do I change it so when I at the corner I'm at top speed?

Gary Stevens

No need , FM 1 , one stop for gas only

Excellent build! Subies are a great lookin car!

Jonathan Davis

What fuel mix are you using?

Joey Davis

If i remember well , around 2:07 or lower when track is almost dry for last laps.

Great fun! What times are you getting on this track? Struggling to get into 2.10s at mo
