Mercedes-Benz W196R '55 - FR - 700PP - Racing Soft Tires - Le Mans - 1.58

4 STARS CAR SETUP ****

The car is now stable and performs well, but the lack of downforce makes it better suited for high-speed tracks. It’s extremely fast and has very low fuel consumption. It laps Le Mans in 3:55 and easily completes 3 laps on a tank.

Cockpit view is spot on — the windscreen stays low in your line of sight, and it’s perfect in VR2. Throw a fan in front of you for immersion, and watch out for virtual mosquitos at high speed!

If there’s a weak point, it’s the brakes — not great by today’s standards. But these old bolids are insanely fast and thrilling to drive.

Wnjoy your drive. ><(((((((°>°°°°°°

This is a very exciting car to drive and it is very well tuned. I like the fact that you can not fit engine parts which makes it possible to drive it stock as well. This car stock around Goodwood is a blast to drive. Thank you very much.👌

I admit I didn’t check my feet while testing the car with my VR2 , but I will next time.

I don't recall any other car showing the clutch pedal being pressed. Nice touch! I probably missed others.

Fuel consumption is fine for the full 12 laps, no doubt. Maybe you're having trouble managing tire wear? I haven’t tested it on that track yet.

Tried at 600pp with medium sport tires in Tokyo: funny, good grip and stop just for tires (in my hands) Surely better driver able to do no stop race Not the best car for Tokyo, not the faster, but funny and good sensations
