Toyota GR Supra Racing Concept '18 - FR - 800PP - Racing Soft Tires - Sardegna - 1.55

4 STARS CAR SETUP ****

This setup is optimized for Sardegna, but it can also compete in WTC800. For Sardegna, you’ll need two stops for fuel and tires. You can either run in Fuel Mode 2 or use a short-shifting technique to complete all 5 laps efficiently.

It consistently laps at 1:36, offering excellent grip and superior handling, making it a strong contender for both events.

Enjoy your drive. ><(((((((°>°°°°°

It' still ok , no physics chamge since 1.55 to 1.61.

Laurent Bouis

Any changes since? Or could we be blessed with a 1.61 update? This is one of my favourites!😁

Miguel

Typically, on Sardegna, we sacrifice front downforce up to a certain limit to prioritise power for the 800PP. In this case, since the PP limit can't be reached, we can utilise maximum power alongside maximum grip to achieve the desired balance. For Suzuka, we could adjust the gearbox to optimise performance through the S curves and improve acceleration out of the hairpin.

Laurent Bouis

What changes would you make to run Suzuka?

William Evans

Thanks! Will definitely check this video out

I’m watching a fantastic tutorial by Suellio Almeida, and while it’s iRacing, the lesson is applicable to GT7. He breaks down why his student’s rear is being lost (too much grip on front, too much steering rotation in small distance) and he gives advice on how to approach those turns. Which is probably why my tires don’t last as much too, I've been trying to take it easy with the throttle now which has helped with the tires, but I lost some seconds and Im still trying to get it right, doing this on a controller sucks. My comment on losing the rear was mostly related to a previous tune I used (not praiano's) where the car was too unwieldy off curves tho

Francisco Soares

💯🤟🏽

Xevi Culebras

When I lose the rear, it’s usually when I missed my brake point and I’m applying too much throttle too soon before my wheels are straight.

Eddie Maldonado

Car has been great to drive, not losing the rear when accelerating off curves, but I still have trouble getting the soft tires to last unless I change TCS from 0 to 2, I probably need to brake and turn more smoothly.

Francisco Soares

You are amazing, thanks for that! Will try it tonight

Francisco Soares

Awesome! I almost asked for this a few times. Can't wait to try it out.
