Mazda 787B '91 - MR - 800PP - Racing Medium Tires - Sardegna - 1.55

5 STARS CAR SETUP *****

This setup configuration using Racing Medium Tires and a few lower font downforce , was created by a member name Rally Ru '04 STi , It's a very great find he made. Congratulation! Tire wear is higher but ok for the 8 laps. It's also faster 1.5 second , i post it for have another option for this race and also others tracks . Perfect car for SPA 1H event too.

Special Setup for Sardegna Event:
Lapping 1:28 to 1:29, with 1 stop for fuel. I did a 1:27.5xx on a time trial session. Total race time is around under 23 minutes in my hands, depending on traffic. This is why i raise it to 5 ***** stars.

Enjoy your driive. ><(((((((°>°°°°°°

This is a track-specific setup, and I’m not sure how well it will perform on other circuits. Sardegna is a unique track—no big compressions, no high-speed corners, so the setup is tailored to those conditions. I can test it for WTC800 events to see how it holds up elsewhere.

Different circuits and what not... and we're on 1.59 now, not 1.55... but used this on the weekly 800 at Lake Maggiore and there is a horrible vibration from the front on slow corners at full steering lock, like the wheels are hitting the arches or something.

I’m not sure—they’re very different tracks, each requiring a specific setup. Long, fast corners (likw willow springs) need more front grip to maintain higher speeds. Sardegna, on the other hand, has mostly low-speed turns, where grip isn’t as crucial. You can increase front downforce, but that means losing PP and power to stay within 800PP. The key is to find the best compromise between speed and grip.

Will this set up work on the red bull circuit and willow springs

This is perfection!

Just shaved 32 seconds off my best time on Sardegna with this 1.55 version. Bravo Rally Ru and Praiano!

Community, for zero understeer in corners i run this--Front Negative Camber= 4.0 degrees. But will need to be more gentler with steering inputs to not unsettle the rear! The 2.5 front negative camber allows for more forgiveness with steering inputs but at the cost of slight understeer.

Thanks for sharing.👌

After 2 Sardegna money grind runs using ballast 5 allowing to be 4 pounds lighter seems to be less stable in the rear on corner exit. So i prefer my original setting of ballast 7.

This is the Maestro's tune with a few alterations i made that i mentioned for him to try out and see what he thought of the change to Medium tires and less front downforce. Essentially this is his tune setup with my suggestions. And your rain race settings for being able to run inters with this tune i posted in another comment here.

Rally Ru '04 STi

Monstrous tune. We already know Maestro's prowess, so I decided to add a level of difficulty. Instead of loading into a quick, dry Sardegna race, I decided on 1 hour of Spa. This tune will not allow a switch to inters, which I knew going in. The rain came late and hard (almost full water bar), but it didn't matter. By the time I made my only pit stop on lap 18, I could have pushed this car to the finish and still won. Extremely stable and predictable even with 0 TC up to the first water mark. Quick? Using fuel map 6 I was lapping low 2:11s consistently (with a controller). I never got a chance to let her stretch her legs on fuel map 1, but my optimal on 6 was 1:56. Bravo!

For Sardegna and dry only races use the setup in this post. For any races that have possible rain (like the 1hr Spa) use this setup instead since for some reason inters now give you more PP after 1.55 update. i wanna believe this is a Poly screw up by mistake but we'll see if gets fixed, hopefully 🤞. Here's the rain race settings for switching to inters during race: --Front Downforce= 500 --ECU Ouput Adjustment= 78 --Ballest= 7 --Ballast Position= rear +48 These settings for rain races for needed inters will drop from 801.98pp to 800pp

Nice one mate, thank you!

Moo Bass

Could be a PP bug for this car in particular.

Pop Teodor

That's weird! Since when do rain/inters tires give us more PP? That's a huge change from 1.55 update.

Rally Ru '04 STi

One slight issue with this setup for Spa 1H, cannot use inters as they push the PP to 801.89

Pop Teodor

i also just noticed that lowering weight ballast to 5 (instead of 7) also makes exactly 800pp. So making 4 pounds lighter! idk if 4 pounds lighter on rear tires will affect losing tire grip on throttling out of corners. More Sardegna money grinds to test and enjoy haha. The $20 million credit Mercedes W 196 R '55 in Hagerty Legends and the new cars from 1.55 patch depleted my GT bank 🙃.

🫡 thanks Praiano
