Porsche 959 '87 - 4WD - 700PP - Racing Hard Tires - All Track - 1.55

4 STARS CAR SETUP ****

Rims size "17 - Width wide - Offset wide

Front A - Wing A

This is a top-tier 700PP car, capable of lapping 2:15 on SPA. However, it has several PP bugs.

It’s very fast, grippy, and easy to drive, but there’s one situation where it can be tricky to control. Unfortunately, I couldn’t correct this behavior without compromising the car’s other strengths.

🚨 NEVER BRAKE TOO LATE. 🚨
Late braking induces oversteer, causes rear grip loss, and slows the car down until it regains traction.

The biggest issue comes when releasing the brake mid-corner. The best approach is to brake earlier and use trail braking. Be soft and smooth at this moment—you’ll be much faster this way.

Not ok for Le Mans dur to huge gas consumption.

Enjoy your drive. ><((((((((°>°°°°°°

Hello, I set my 959 up as per and tweaked the suspension a little to suit my driving with controller, as mentioned not recommended for the WTC700 at Le Mans as you will only get 2 laps at FM6 even with slipstream and coasting .

So far I have only used the 600pp tune, as it has more use for me. Like you, weight reduction 3 and rigidity. ECU output 97, ballast 200 at position 7. All other settings as per Praiano 600pp tune (NOT TRUE: no permanent engine mods!). Car is 599.71pp, 495bhp, 1331kg. 40:60 weight distribution. A really nice drive. Stable, but with ability to break loose a little when you push it. I like cars like this. Just used it to win the new 600pp Interlagos event. EDIT: Also used it to beat Haywood in the 600pp Tokyo event (5 laps), not something I always manage!

Just tried also this 700pp setup with weight reduction 3, body rigidity, but more ballast with different positioning to maintain weight distribution ratio and again - with the same pp the performance numbers on left side of the sheet are better...i dont know if i am doing something wrong but...let me know how it ended for you please 🙂

Skala

Sweet, thanks. I should've tried that before I threw a sad face! 🤣

Try it with more ballast, but same weight ratio value...i also have 959 with weight reduction 3 and body rigidity and I managed to do Praiano's 600pp tune with even better numbers

Skala

My 959 has weight reductions... 2.3 million for new body... 😫
