Mitsubishi Lancer EVO IV GSR '96 - 4WD - 700PP - Racing Medium Tires - All Track - 1.52

4 STARS CAR SETUP ****

Engine SWAP: Evo-Final-Gr.B (Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Gr.B Rally Car)

Wide car

Rims "16 - Offset Wide - Rims wide

-Front B - Side A - Rear A - Wing Custom

This setup could be rated 5 stars in terms of performance, with lap times of 2:17 on SPA, 6:30 on Nordschleife, and 3:50 on Le Mans using Racing Hard tires for impressive top speed. It’s an extremely high-performance car, no doubt.

However, the handling is just good, not exceptional, and far from perfect. To improve grip, I use Racing Medium tires, and while the top speed remains very good—faster than a Porsche 911 '16.

This car was broken before update 1.52, but this setup works well for both the EVO V and EVO VI.

Enjoy your drive. ><(((((((°>°°°°°°

Yes , V and VI can use this IV setup both 3 cars are the same base , only the III have the option of rear diffuser.

I guess you are not going to publish complete tunes for the V and VI. If the IV tune is so compatible it should only take a very short time to do them.

Phenomenal tune on this one!! Absolutely love driving it and speeding around LeMans! Just had to b careful while braking a couple times when I was cornering and the back end tried passing me lol but what a blast to drive.

I’m having a good time with this suspension setup on the original engine. Maxed out is exactly 700pp

About using a low or mid or high RPM turbo and ECU or Restrictor , it depends of the behaviors of the car and the track i pretend to drive. ECU = + HP - Torque Restrictor = -HP + Torque Low or mid or high RPM turbo = Low spread less power across RPM / High have more power concentrated at high RPM - With a 4WD without traction problems , torque is easy to lead with . On a slow track with a lot of low speed corners , you need to perform a better out corner . Torque will help a lot. In this case i prefer to use restrictor because it add torque and less power for a givem PP. Tsukuba for example. If i use a powerfull FR with wheel spin and lost of traction , i would use more ECU because -With a very powerfull MR on SPA or Le Mans , i prefer to use High turbo and ECU if i need. HP pay better than torque.

Absolutely love it, I always had the rear way too low and not as stiff I do believe it's better off with the medium-RPM turbo though, but if there's a reason you'd still go the high-RPM let me know! :) Ecu at 99 Restrictor at 71 Gives 519hp 80.4kgfm (581.5ft.lb) I'm in Australia so my torque is output as kgfm, when I used high-RPM turbo, was at 66.8 I did try messing around with aero so that I could run ecu at 100 and no ballast, couldn't find a massive difference, and driver skill (and consistency) wouldn't be helping, but I was half a seccond quicker around Sardegna with your original tune & the medium-RPM turbo installed, From what I can tell it's always better to first bring the power down with the restrictor as it smooths out the torque curve and doesn't just remove power across the entire power curve, is there a reason you use a combination of both?

I'll check the EVO V and VI but only the EVO III have rear diffuser option , and of course differents numbers with a higher downforce.

Laurent Bouis

Would you please post actual setups for the V and VI? The suspension setup may work but the car weights and I believe aero are all different. Also the PP ratings are probably different.

Fun tune. I ruined it by taking all the aero off for aesthetics. So my car is unstable under heavy braking. It's fun and manageable but you're still balancing on the limit while late trail braking.
