What happens when you put Power Rangers, Twin Peaks, Batman Returns, and The Monkees into a blender? Why, it's the 2003-2004 live-action Sailor Moon series! Hidden away in Japan, the series has flown under the radar. As such, it's easy to miss the inescapable truth: that it's the best version of Sailor Moon that's ever been made. Now that we've reached its 20th anniversary, it's time to celebrate it by giving it the respect it deserves. What makes this series so great? Well, I'm here to tell you Why You'll Love Live-Action Sailor Moon! I'll be digging deep into this hidden treasure over the next few months, but this first video is a (largely) spoiler-free primer, designed to help get you into the series without giving away its many shocking twists and turns. As the title of this post suggests, I'm very excited about this one. I haven't had this much fun working on a video in a while. This is almost certainly going in my "The Best of the Best!" playlist.
