New Dragon Ball Dissection Time!

Dragon Ball GT hits its breakthrough episode. Everything changes. Baby reveals his backstory. Vegeta falls to the brainwashing. Even the opening and ending sequences are given a refreshed treatment. But who are these mysterious Tsufruians? When have we encountered them before, and how has their story changed over the years? Believe me, despite their lack of appearances, their story has changed a lot, and I tie it all together for this extra-long episode of Dragon Ball Dissection.

So this is the episode I was working on when my hard drives crashed at the beginning of the month. I lost my original recording and edit of this, as well as the seven-page Tsufruian history guide I had compiled as a resource, but thankfully I had emailed the completed script to myself, so I didn't have to start completely over. It's been a wild few weeks trying to get everything working again and cobbling together all the elements I needed to create a near-seamless experience for all of you. My sincerest thanks to friends and patrons who lent support, helped me rebuild my Dragon Ball archive, and let me use their computers. I'm always afraid of thanking specific people for fear of leaving someone out, but the specialest of thanks to Jason, Lauren, and iKaos. I really hope you enjoy this one because a lot of work and a lot of love went into this one.

I don’t think I ever picked up on the ‘Tsufuru = fruits’ aspect before; it’s so obvious now! Another awesome video!

I enjoy your long episodes. Honestly though if you want to stretch the continuities together you could say that they are games of telephone and say "Well we don't fully know" that's my "In-universe" explanation lol.

While it’s awesome to see Vegeta integrated into earth society, and using ki rather than power, it’s still feels a little unsettling and weird for him to refer to himself as Vegeta-Sama. I’m happy you’re not referring to tsufurians as the stupid dub name tuffles, a name the ocean dub could only come up with when the 90s presented anime as kids media.
