Patreon Payment Declines

I'm not entirely sure if this is even going to reach anybody who actually needs to read it. Hopefully it will. Apparently Patreon had a little snafu that is causing a higher than normal number of payments to decline. So if you've had that happen this month, it isn't me, it isn't you, it's them. I won't lie. It has me a little stressed out because, regardless of the reason, if patrons can't get their payments through, it makes it hard for me to pay the bills. And if you have to jump through a whole bunch of hoops, I can't really blame you for shrugging and going, "Fine. I'll worry about it later." So, yeah, this is annoying. Below is what they have to say about it, and I hope, if this reaches anyone affected by it, this will help you. Thanks for your support, and I appreciate your patience.

Hi there,

An issue with a payment partner is causing a slightly higher-than-normal number of your patron payments to be declined by their banks. We've traced the increased declines back to payments system upgrades required by one of our processing partners. Patrons might see some payments declined while changes take effect.

If a patron reaches out to you about a decline, you can advise them to follow these steps:

Contact their card issuer to confirm the charge is valid and retry that card
If the retry does not work, try a different payment method. Patrons can edit their payments in their Settings, under Billing History
