Was the shortened version that was on Amazon the version they split up into two episodes for syndication? The runtime would fit with this. Though why they were showing that and not a singular episode is not an answer I can give. Edit to add. I know TNG was syndicated already but I’m sure I read or heard the finale was split into two for repeat airings. Episodes are roughly 44 minutes without ads and the 1:29:00 or so sounds about right.
