2023-12-23 06:05:34 +0000 UTCIt was before people had microwaves, so we would heat up milk in a saucepan on the stove, and add the powder to it. Milk on the stove is sooooo much better than microwave, as would stir it with a whisk it at the same time! Frothy milky hot chocolate! Yum โ๏ธ ๐ซ

2023-12-23 05:49:06 +0000 UTCYeah, growing up on back roads, we would do car surfing but never at the speeds they were doing in this. We would actually go to the point of having everyone, including the driver, on the roof or hood. Just coasting along at idle speed, staying on straight gravel roads and occasionally reaching down to turn the steering wheel a bit to keep it on the road. Not bragging. We were idiots. The whip cream scenes make no more sense when you know what is going on. Two kids in underwear, tied back-to-back in whip cream and have 30 seconds to get untied or you lose. What do you lose? Not your self-respect; You lost that when you started playing. And I couldn't tell for sure if J saw flasher guy in the bleachers at the end or not. I know it was mentioned before the movie, but then he got distracted by finding out Boof's name. In the end celebration, right after Boof and Scott are kissing and dad is coming down the bleachers, you can't miss him in the upper left of the screen. As for what you even see, that is up for interpretation. You can't miss his pants being unzipped (Especially with him immediately covering his crotch with his hands and pulling his shirt down to cover it.), but especially because of how old the film is, you can't really tell if you see wang happening or just underwear. You see what you want to in that regard. And in fact, as far as anyone can tell, it was probably a woman, based on matching outfits from earlier in the crowd scenes.

2023-12-20 22:15:19 +0000 UTCRenee is right, many folks heated milk up on the stove and poured into a mug that had the hot chocolate packet in it. You can also make your own: 2 tablespoons cocoa powder 2-3 tablespoons sugar 1/4 teaspoon vanilla (omit if you use vanilla flavored milk) Dash salt Put the above in a mug and pour heated milk into it and stir. Don't forget the baby marshmallows or whipped cream or even a spoonful of vanilla ice cream!! Yum. (makes one cup)

Anyone else can correct me if there was ever a time where it was made completely from scratch, however, even with packets, some people put milk in it and some people put water in it. If you use water, you would just use the kettle to heat it. If you used milk, a lot of people would put the milk in a pot to heat it. Though I suppose you could have used a kettle for that as well, I don't know, most people simply used a pot. I'm thinking there are a lot of old timey moms who used a pot to warm up the milk they put into the baby's bottle :)

2023-12-20 16:14:52 +0000 UTClol, to comment on the alleged appearance of some dick in the movie, I'm on the side of that being debunked urban legend. I've checked out screenshots online and looked at it myself in the movie. It is my belief that isn't even a guy with the unzipped pants in that scene, it's a girl, and those tight 80's skinny jeans were her bane while sitting there for that final basketball game. She was forced to unzip to get some air while sitting there and probably jumped up without buttoning up again. Now for some real shots of dick in an 80's movie that I can pretty much say is legit personally, in Grease 2, during a scene of some guys running around the school track, jumping hurdles, there is very obviously a guy going commando under his track shorts who ends up popping out some wiener and ballage. Just another reason that movie remains on my guilty pleasure list ๐คฃ

Better times (some of them, lol)
