No The Host 2013 from the US is a completely different movie. The Host Korean is from 2006.

I don’t think the sister opened the door to let the zombies in because she was mad at or sad about her sister. I think she let them in to f**k over the living passengers that were in her car because they were assholes that didn’t let her sister and the other main characters in. At that point she likely didn’t feel like she had anything else to live for so she said f**k those other passengers and sacrificed them and herself.

I still don't understand why that little girl wasn't nominated for Best Supporting Actress in 2017. She was absolutely outstanding. Now if only I could get more people to watch The Host, Another great creature feature from S. Korea sooo overlooked.

This might be my favorite zombie movie and definitely the one with the most heart. I recommend to non-horror fans all the time because the characters and story are pretty much perfect. First time I saw it, I couldn’t BELIEVE I was sobbing over a zombie movie. But it’s just SO DAMN GOOD. South Korea hits it out of the park almost every time.

This is one of my favorite reactions from you so far. From imitating the zombies if people tried to kick you off the train, to fighting off the emotional moments throughout, I was cracking up. Glad you enjoyed it. There's some deeper meanings I missed on my first viewing that a native Korean speaker can break down, for example the way the daughter's speech changes from formal to informal throughout the film, in regards to her dad. The zombie movement was great too.
