Finally got to watch this final watchalong of the OGT! Been watching since the Aliens video was posted and I've been waiting for the time you would finally get to Star Wars. It did not disappoint. I'm so glad you have been enjoying them and I'm truly looking forward to your reactions to the rest of the films. I grew up with the originals and love them, I was young enough when the prequels came out to not let others dissuade me from loving those; the sequels however, I did not enjoy where they went. That said, I hope you DO enjoy them! Just because one person didn't like them, doesn't mean another can not, Star Wars is bigger than that, it means more than that. I didn't like when they remade some parts of the originals especially the end with a different Anakin character. I think they should have left it as it was orginally made. You ruined C3P0 for me because now I will never look at him again without thinking of Danny Glover knees 😆😆 I was laughing so hard at that line. Like you, Vader definitely didn't deserve a "thanks for playing". He will forever be the best Villian. Now, more of your questions will be answered in the next three movies.

Jabba in this film was not cgi, he was a puppet. there are 3 or 4 guys working inside the puppet.

Anika always appeared at the end of the film with Yoda and obi won but it was a different actor i the theatrical version, this is one of the changes I don't mind. I am sad there is no yub yub for J.

fans of a film can be just as toxic as those who don't. fans have a right to not like what a filmmaker does with characters they have cared about for 30 years. People who attack people who hate TLJ or 7&9, are just as toxic as those who attack people who like them. I have seen reactors who don't like any of those 3 get bashed just as much as those who do. its subjective people have a right to feel how they feel, your opinion doesn't override the opinion of those who disagree. they are right if it's how they feel. all film is subjective and we can all like or not like something for any reason that is right for me, us or whoever. that includes how people may feel about those old books that alot of us grew up on feel about them.

lightspeed in star wars doesn't really have any "speed" measure, its just as fast or slow as the film needs. Star trek has a little more structure the next generation and other tv shows that came at that time in the 90's filled in a lot of those kinds of details.

That was Sebastian Shaw, the actor you mention. Anakin digitally replaced Shaw when Lucas decided to make the move to re-release the series around 2004/2005 I think? It was a move that kinda divided the Star Wars fanbase a little.

Boba Fett wasn't important at all, till years later simply because of the cool look - books and eventually the TV show, preqiuels and cannon made him important. They even changed the guys voice in these movies from the oringal actor to fit in with the prequels.

JL. To answer your last question…. In that last scene with the 3 force ghosts….They originally had the force ghost of the guy that played Vader in the unhelmeting scene. When they digitally redid the old ones.. they added in Hayden from the prequels

This is my favorite Star Wars movie! As a kid, I thought Boba Fett's name was Robo Thatt. Because that's what I thought I heard Solo say before knocking him into the Sarlacc.
