This was such a classic. Its amazing how many horror movies take place in hospitals and there seems to be no one ever in the hospital to.help lls

Your reaction when you found out they were related haha Laurie was just a baby when he killed his other sister and always wanted to kill her that night too so she was adopted to another family to protect her which eventually caught up to them.

To each their own. I love the series. Might even say I'm obsessed 😄 so I'm here either way

That’s probably the plan, honestly. We will likely come back to 3 later on for sure.

I’ll try to find the video (I was telling J he needs to watch post Halloween run thru), I saw someone break this down into ten possible timelines and rank them. It was great. LoL

lets skip H3 for now due to there being nothing to do with Michael or Laurie and got straight to Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers, but Laurie has nothing to do with H3, 4, 5 OR 6. So you could even skip those and jump straight to Halloween H20(H7) as either way are both direct sequels to Halloween 2. OR you could even skip everything and jump to Halloween 2018 as thats a direct sequel to H1. The timelines kind of jump around..

I'm glad you loved it. Definitely one of the most popular ones in the franchise. It's funny that you know so many fans if the franchise in your oersonal life and never heard of the brother/sister plot twist. It's had become a very prominent detail when discussing the franchise, but it wasn't originally planned. John Carpenter originally wanted the "Halloween" franchise to be like an anthology series, where each movie would be a completely different horror story all associated with/taking place on the holiday (think the tv series American Horror Story, which each season being a completely different story/setting/characters/etc). The first movie became so popular (including inspiring another studio to jump on and create Friday the 13th)that the studio wanted a Michael Myers sequel. So, Halloween II wasn't originally meant to be about Michael Myers at all. Well, while writing Halloween II, John Carpenter got frustrated being that he didn't, got drunk and create the brother/sister okoy twist. It wasn't his original intent for the story (Michael was going after Laurie in the first one was just coincidental and we're never meant to really know his motives for killing), but it's definitely on of the main details most fans think of when they of Michael Myers... Also to answer your question, Laurie was born two years before Michael killed his older sister. Michael was 6 (now 21), Laurie was 2(now 17). Their parents were killed in an accident 2 years after Michael was commited into an institution and Laurie got adopted by the Strodes and the courts had the records of Laurie being related/adoption to Michael sealed (including from Dr. Loomis). With that being, if you really wish to continue the doing the whole franchise, you should know that has different timelines/universes. I personally reccomend all of them just to watch it you know? I know you often speak out forming your own opinions like doing the Star Wars sequels (some Halloween timeless have more mixed reviews). Outside of the first two Halloween movies, each timeline have mixed reviews (some leaning more towaards one end over another, or even changing of opinions a bit over the years in new perspective like the Star Wars franchise). I'll break it down by timeline/watch order, complete with release date (those are important so pay attention to those). I can't remember the fandom names for each timelines, so I'll just number them. 1) Halloween (1978), Halloween II (1981), Halloween IV: Return of Michael Myers (1988), Halloween V: Revenge of Michael Myers (1989), Halloween VI: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995) -After Halloween II, mixed reviews within the fandom about certain ones (I personally enjoy most of this one, although some might not). Jamie Lee Curtis isn't in the the ones after Halloween II in this one. It does have some great characters (two of my favorite in the franchise are in the 4-6 era and some facepalming ones, but that slasher movies and we got some very 80s slasher in this timeline. 2) Halloween (1978), Halloween (1981), (H20) Halloween: 20 Years Later (1998), Halloween: Resurrection (2002) -Now this was certainly a break away and first timeline reset. Only the first 2 Halloween movies (the 7th movie installment, then the 8th), ignoring 4-6, so remember that when going that one. Fresh off of the horror revival in the late 90s with Scream, Jamie Lee Curtis decided to finally get back to her Scream Queen roots and returns to the franchise for the 20th Anniversary (hence the title) and jumping into 90s horror era vibe. 3) Halloween (1978), Halloween (2018), Halloween Kills (2021), Halloween Ends (2022). -Now, notice Halloween II (1981) is NOT in this timeline, so everything you just watch in this reaction is irrelevant here, including the brother/sister plot point (if you heard fans talk about it recently, it's possibly why the brother/sister talk hasn't come up). Well, the Scream Queen put her crown back on for one FINAL final run/reset for the 40th anniversay (unless she changes her mind and decides to do another timeline reset for the 60th anniversay lol) in the current, Blumhouse Production era of horror. 4) Rob Zombie's Halloween (2007), Rob Zombie's Halloween II (2009). Probably the most controversial timeline of the franchise. In fact, it's a complete reboot and imagining of Rob Zombie's take on the Halloween/Michael Myers story. It's only two movies. You'll get to see a familiar actor from the movies 4-6 era play a different character in this reboot (one who played one of my favorite characters from the 4-6 era), which is fun for the fans of that era. 5) Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982) Now, remember that anthology movie series I mentioned earlier that John Carpenter wanted to create? Well, he did attempt to make it. After "killing off" Michael Myers in Halloween too, he moved on from the character and made a story. Unfortunately it wasn't a success due to after two movies on Michael Myers, people didn't want a different story, they wanted more Michael Myers. Some have grown wome appreciation fir but most ignore it (I personally don't mind it and even play the Silver Shamnock theme from the movie on/around on Halloween time myself). If you do choose to react to this one, you can watch it last if your Michael Myers flow since it has nothing to do with that character. Hope this helps and I look forward to watching your reactions.
