That peel did NOT want to get going--too bad it doesn't have a little tab sticking out to get you started, like the safety seal on a bottle of ketchup or whatever--but I eventually scraped up an edge and got it going. Also thanks for using those shiny, metallic-ish red envelopes again: now I can still hang onto the original one as a weird keepsake and cut a strip off the new one and then tape it onto the headband of my headphones, then flop it forward over my eyes and be Cyclops for Halloween! ๐ป

I got my slugs earlier this week (in the northeast US), and it absolutely made my day! ๐ฉท๐๐ฉต The sparkly sticker is beautiful, and I put my little acceptance slug (after peeling) pin on my purse. He matched so well! No one around me has any clue what he represents, and I'm ok with that. If they ask, I know I'll hear the whole thing about how I'm not autistic, and I was a "perfect" child and had "perfect" parents and my "problems" only started in my teen years due to my "bad decisions." ๐ I don't know why they think autism means they did something wrong as parents to cause it. It doesn't work like that! It's not worth having the discussion, though. So, the slug is my little secret, hiding in plain sight. Thank you so much, Megan! ๐

When I took them out I did realize, however, why the confusion, bc the protective covering looks like part of the wooden piece bc of the burnished looking edges. Like, not obviously like a sticky layer. The bright colors are well protected. I looooove them! Thank you for sharing the cuteness!
