LUTHIAI Character Prototype

I had a character from a long time ago named Luthian, who was a knight dog, very loyal and protective in nature. I love his design so much, that I am happy to announce that he will be appearing in my comic as a character. Though his original design will change, his concept will remain pretty much the same (just this time, the whole helmet is his face!)

Below is his first concept, made sometime in 2010, and the second sketch is a working prototype for his new design.

He will be getting a new, fancier set of armor as well. <3 I am excited to show you when it gets finished. I changed his name from Luthian to Luthiai, since it was way too close to J.R.R, Tolkien's Lúthien.

PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION:

NAME: Luthiai (looth-ee-aye)

GENDER: Male

AGE: Progressive, depicted here at young adult age. Meets the characters when he is well older than them.

SPECIES: Tordrayendel

HOME TERRITORY: Segralia

LUTHIAI FACTS: He is a long, tall, proud boy who lives to be a protector. Though he has no eyes, he is partially (or fully, I haven't decided yet) psychic and can see images in his mind. His magic emanates and ricochets back to his sensing organs inside his head like echolocation, but instead of sound, it's reflected aura. The skull helmet is made of layers that grow with age, and his helmet comes off in a molt every year. He is weak for about 3 days until his skull hardens again.
