You should definitely react to the other 3 films. National Lampoon’s Vacation National Lampoon’s European Vacation National Lampoon’s Vegas Vacation

Annoyingly, I had to watch on DVD and it turns out the DVD plays faster than your stream did and I spent the whole film pausing and unpausing the DVD to keep it in sync. I do love your commentary though. It’s wholesome

Christmas vacation is an absolute classic in my house. Already watched a couple dozen times since the holiday season began. You should definitely watch the other National Lampoon’s Vacation movies, and other Chevy Chase movies . They’re so funny, chaotic, and good time when you need a laugh. There’s even a Christmas vacation 2 that I just found out was a thing, that focuses on Eddie, and his family. Hope the cat scene didn’t traumatize you, and Myko.

Blind Entertainment

I mostly recognize Brian Doyle-Murray, Clark's boss, from Groundhog Day, he also did a few voices in SpongeBob too, mostly the Flying Dutchman. Yes, that is Leonard from Big Bang. The SNL cast of old was very well connected, so much so that their friends and family get a lot of cameos or writer cred in their film projects. National Lampoon was a humor magazine/company between 1970-2000 (originally called Harvard Lampoon). The "Vacation" series was a big hit in the 80s. Because they got some big SNL performers in their films, it launched their company and the careers of a few SNL cast, back then. Other big companies that have taken the many SNL comedians to new heights were MAD magazine, Cracked magazine, SCTV (Second City TV, out of Chicago but also included a lot smaller Canadian comedy groups), SNL themselves, the Onion, Funny or Die, Buzzfeed, College Humor, and some smaller comedy groups like Kids in the Hall, The State, Broken Lizards Club, Upright Citizens Brigade, and The Groundlings. Apatow Productions was inspired by National Lampoon, too. Even the American Pie Presents series exists thanks to the ground work National Lampoon created. Notable comedy groups/duos NOT affliated or connected with or exist because of National Lampoon; Monty Python, Tenacious D, Mr. Show with Bob and Dave, Cheech and Chong, The Lonely Island, Flight of the Conchords, Key and Peele, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, and Tim & Eric. I've never heard of not eating meat on Christmas Eve but who am I to say anything, lol, we have ham on Thanksgiving and homemade sushi on Christmas, lol, so...family traditions be what they are, lol. Chevy Chase is known for his physical comedy combined with an almost psychotic positive attitude and refusal to be phased by his clumsiness. In IRL, however, he is known for being quite the diva and having a highly inflated ego. Many of his comedies, he has expressed, he liked but didn't feel him and his characters were as respected as he thought they should be. A few comedies he loved doing though were Fletch (1985) and Fletch Lives (1989) Nothing but Trouble (1991) Caddyshack (1980) and Caddyshack 2 (1988) Funny Farm (1988) Three Amigos! (1986) Spies Like Us (1985) National Lampoon (NL) films are a fun chaotic time because they are over blown satire, mostly male fantasy driven and unrealistic tropes (like bumbling cops, and good on their core CEOs that are just trapped in their bottomline bubbles and need a good kidnapping by some kind folks to set them back on track, lol). There are technically 7 "Vacation" films in their series; NL Vacation NL European Vacation Christmas Vacation Vegas Vacation Christmas Vacation 2 (with cousin Eddie) Hotel Hell Vacation and a reboot of sorts with another NL Vacation in 2015. Then you have the most notable NL movies outside of the "Vacation" series: Animal House (1978) Van Wilder (2002) Most of the other films are mostly college humor male fantasy types, they have over 70 films total.
