The Raid : Redemption (2011) | Full Length Reaction | Watch-along!!

If you're looking for a movie that's ALL action, with impressive, creative fight scenes and unique choreography - **THIS IS THE MOVIE FOR YOU**

I have never heard of this movie before, but when it comes to fighting scenes... The Raid walked so John Wick could run LMAO
The similar hand-to-hand combat scenes, mid-fight heavy music, and creative risks/camera angles are reminiscent of John WIck and I enjoyed every single one. It never got boring and somehow remained totally fresh!! It's really impressive :)

I KNOW I KNOW - there are a ton of action movies I have not seen, it's probably similar to a film I have not yet experienced, so I'm just relating it to styles of movies I have seen 😉😊

Lemme know if you guys have ever heard of this film, any cool facts about it, ANNNND IF YOU LIKED IT ❤️

Can't wait to hear what you guys think 🥰🌸

This is the movie saga I originally subbed to you for in hopes you would react to it one day. So thanks for finally giving it a shot. lol Mad Dog is definitely a contradiction, because he's one of the most memorable and unknown martial arts movie villains. The fact that he took out the movie's BEST fighter in Jaka made me truly terrified for Rama and Andi when I first saw this movie. The one thing I love about this movie is how relentless each bad guy (even the smaller ones) were. They just wouldn't stay down. You were right: The actor who played Mad Dog (and Iko Uwais, who played Rama) were actually the fight choreographers for this movie. Another fact; Mike Shinoda (the rapper from the band Linkin Park) made the music score for this movie! And now... you have to react to "The Raid 2". The director wanted to actually make the sequel first, but he didn't have the budget at the time. So he made this version, and once it became successful, he got started on the sequel (the true version of this movie). Bigger scale, bigger story, and most importantly, bigger fight scenes. As much as I want to talk about it, I CAN'T because saying anything could be a spoiler. Haha. But I guarantee you... this movie was like the appetizer. The Raid 2 is the MAIN COURSE.

The Raid 2 is an absolute must-see, but as a follow-up, it's something of an exercise in excess. In contrast to the first Raid, the sequel is fifty minutes longer, has a far more sprawling (some may argue convoluted) storyline, and of course plenty more of those crunchy action sequences. The first movie is still my preferred entry overall due to its simpler tighter focus, but man, the highs in part 2 are positively STRATOSPHERIC.
