Added 2025-07-11 23:20:46 +0000 UTCLMAO I had an absolute blast watching this movie - I felt like it still had the action, charm and good character qualities of the first film - The Mummy (which I ADORED) while keeping the immersion to the MAX. Along with some of the silly writing and funniest cgi I have EVER seen in my life (I still can't stop thinking about it LMAO)

The next one (Tomb of the Dragon Emperor) is entertaining for what it is, though not as good as the first. It does still have Brendan Fraser but Evy was re-cast, as Rachel Weisz didn't want to return. It does have the son but it's also a different actor. I tihnk it had a bigger budget than this one so the CGI is ok.

2025-07-18 14:19:18 +0000 UTCReminder that this movie came out the same year as The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. That CGI! I have no idea if The Mummy 3 is worth watching, as I never saw it since Rachel Weisz didn't come back. She's my only Evy.
