It was this episode that made me think that Tori's father was Mike Barnes from the 3rd Karate Kid movie. lol Just by the way Tori's aunt was talking about her father.

All out of judgement & jealousy of Tori befriending Ayesha. (The same Ayesha btw who Sam completely Sh#t on to try to get in with the popular crowd lol some "bestie" she is)

She went up to Tori and set a boundary (striking first), which is good, but she did it in a clearly antagonistic way, almost like she wants Tori to screw up again so Sam gets the revenge she wants for feeling like a victim. That's a difficult feeling to navigate for the first time. The adrenaline and fear of walking up to the very thing that triggers your flight and frozen response is so overwhelming that Sam's words were probably the only words she could get out that protect the vulnerability she must have been feeling. Those words can feel like armor made of spikes dipped in poison, lol, with all that adrenaline coursing through her to overpower all the fear from the repeated assaults on her sense of safety and confidence. Not the best way to deal with it since Tori sees threats as a challenge, but a boundary was made clear.
