Apocalypto is a good film and The Last of the Mohicans is another emotional powerful film too

2025-03-05 04:20:21 +0000 UTCYeah there are a lot of problems with this film historically. Kilts weren't really a thing until a few centuries later, the English hadn't been ruling Scotland for a particularly long time in the period that Wallace was fighting, the whole thing with the princess never happened (she was like 3 years old at the time that Wallace died) and Braveheart was actually a nickname for Robert the Bruce. Probably the most strange inaccuracy is the distinct lack of bridge in the Battle of Stirling Bridge scene lol. But I'd say its still a pretty well-made film.

2025-03-04 04:26:45 +0000 UTCAlways loved the movie. History details from 700 years ago are always cloudy or biased. I don't think anything detracts from the movie for me. Like you said though, I wish he didn't hook up with the queen.

2025-03-04 03:40:55 +0000 UTCSo, when I saw that you posted this video my plan for the night changed. I love and have always loved this movie. It’s a top 5 for sure. It’s amazing how watching a movie like this with someone who has never seen it before breathes new life into it and makes all the emotions hit much harder. You made me love this movie even more! I definitely cried with you. I laughed at all the amazing lines with you. Thanks Vkunia!

2025-03-04 03:36:32 +0000 UTCDon't knock 80's and 90's films V! We've been trying to tell you, lol. We had some of the best films! Do you remember when Tony Stark, during the "lifting Thor's hammer challenge" scene, when he joked that he would re-institute Prima Noctes if he could lift it? Prima Noctes is the real law that the British King used to ensure English bloodlines mixed with people they conquered to secure dominance. Now that you have watched this I would recommend: Conan the Barbarian (1982) and Last of the Mohicans (1992) Thunderheart (1992) Dragonheart (1996) The 13th Warrior (1999) Waking Ned Divine (1998) Dances with Wolves (1990) Tears of the Sun (2003) Tombstone (1993) Glory (1989) The Magnificent Seven (2016) The Three Musketeers (1993) Young Guns (1988)
