Star Trek Into Darkness | Full Length Reaction!

Continuing with our ๐Ÿ’ซStar Trek ๐Ÿ’ซ๐Ÿš€ Journey is the second modern Star Trek film! Star Trek Into Darkness (SORRY I KEPT SAYING INTO THE ๐Ÿ˜…) But I love this relationships and how these dynamics change and evolve throughout the films so far - they make me progressively more excited to watch this franchise ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿ’–

I kinda wish that you'd watched Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan before this, would be great to see a reaction to that one ๐Ÿ˜Š

V, remember, the timeline has been changed with old Spock coming back in time in the last film, which caused Kirk's dad to die when Kirk was being born (and before he was able to get a brother too unlike the previous timeline), the Vulcan home world to be destroyed (and Spock's mom dying), and a relationship between Spock and Uhura to blossom which caused Spock to be more in touch with his human/emotional side. These key events changed many things from the original series but for the most part, many events will still occur, such as Khan. This version of the Khan story line is different than the one from the original Star Trek 2: Wrath of Khan film because of the alterations to the timeline. However, there is a theory in the Star Trek universe about time and changing the past. Even though key events and moments may change, the rest of the timeline will eventually find its way back to the natural order of things. They say to think about changing the past like dropping a pebble into a pond. The ripples are the changes affecting everything after but ripples eventually settle down and things return to normal. So although the events of how we experience Khan are different, these characters were all meant to still run into each other. Just like how even though Jim and Spock's lives were severely altered in this timeline, the whole crew still eventually ended up on the same ship together, which implies that this crew is destined to be in each other's lives. So the tribbles are a running inside joke for Trekkies, from the original series. Its an episode called The trouble with tribbles. They are a harmless yet pest-like species that breed fast, very fast, so fast that they end up destroying every environment they exist in within days by mere excessive overpopluation. They don't do anything but exist and purr and breed, lol, and eventually clog the air ducts, plug up the pipes, block hallways with just massive piles of them just sitting and purring away, lol. The next movie is the last story in this timeline. If you want to watch more, then you'll have to go the series. As for recommendations, Star Trek sort of corners that market for multiple wholesome space adventure films. You've seen Fifth Element, Serenity, Galaxy Quest, Alita, Hitchhiker's, Pacific Rim, and Stargate. There are tv shows like Stargate, Warehouse 13, and Farscape. There are wholesome sci-fi films, of course, but there aren't a series of films like Star Trek or Star Wars, maybe Ghostbusters? The Last Starfighter (1984) Flash Gordon (1980) The Ice Pirates (1984) Krull (1983) Heavy Metal (1981) Total Recall (1990) Lost in Space (1998) Ready Player One (2018) Demolition Man (1993) Running Man (1987) The Abyss (1989) Time Bandits (1981) Moonfall (2022) Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure (1989) Congo (1995) Timeline (2003) Innerspace (1987)

Can we please finish avatar the last air bender?? Weโ€™re already on the last season

Any thoughts on watching the Jurassic films you haven't seen before the new one comes out? I know the Jurassic World ones aren't as beloved but I think you would still have a great time with them

Matt

Ok, so I know you don't want to hear this, but the third Star Trek movie is easily the worst one. I really enjoyed the first and second ones, but at this point I'd recommend skipping the third and just jumping straight into the original Star Trek content.

I don't think I realised before that Admiral Marcus was Robocop (Peter Weller)

Hurrakan

Some one send this woman a Tribble.

Chrissie Reacts is a smaller one and sheโ€™s doing WEIRD SHIT like Civil War and Mandy. Highly recommend. Sheโ€™s quieter than most, but still growing.

I saw Cassies reactions to some of them. Though, I dont watch a lot of the big reaction channels only a couple like Vee and Cassie, the rest are smaller under 100k subs I watch. I find they all tend to watch all the same stuff. Its like they all coordinate with each other when to watch things. Idk personally not a fan of the artifical interactions like that. It makes for a repetitive experience. I like star trek but not THAT much lol. But to each their own.

Thats MR. Baldamort

Popcorn in Bed just wrapped all the movies up including the Kelvin films and Cinebinge will be covering them in the next couple months after they finish TOS season 3.

Thank you V :)

I truly hope Vee goes back and watches some of the original movies.

I have serious issues with this one, mostly that it recycles several moments from a much better film (The Wrath of Kahn), and integrates some really weird 9/11 was an inside job, truther nonsense that the co-writer is obsessed with. that saidโ€ฆ TREMENDOUS action sequences and Bill Hader as the enemy ship computer will always make me laugh.
