The Terminator | Full Length Reaction!
Added 2025-01-27 00:00:03 +0000 UTCSo.... BEFORE ANYTHING: I FELT ACTUAL FEAR DURING THIS MOVIE. Had to lift my feet up on the chair and everything LOL This movie actually reminded me of something that freaked me out waaaaaay back in the day as a kid; that I totally forgot spooked me. And NO THANKS FOR THE JUMP SCARE 😭 I felt so scared and almost couldn't watch parts of the movie because it was so freaky to me LOL
I'm not sure WHY it scared me so much as a kid, and still does.. But man was that an amazing film. I adored the way it was all done, the tone, the formula and how the story had built upon itself ever so casually until you're in this enormous mess of a timeline. I LOVED the way this movie concluded with that final scene. It wrapped everything up so perfectly and gets me so hype for the next film 🥰🥰🥰🥰💖💖💖 JOIN ME FOR THE START OF THE TERMINATOR SERIES HEHE Thank you for voting and letting it win by a landslide regardless of my seeing it when I was lil!! 😇

This is one of the best movies of the 80s. T2 is one of the best movies of all time. That's how good it can be.

This makes for good graphics for a film but people kept thinking you should pull it because that's how they saw it constantly depicted in films and TV. Today, there is much less of that in films and TV, like they snap arrows in half instead of pulling them out (you shouldn't do this either, any movement of the impaled implement could cause even more severe damage). There are great films in every decade, not just 80's. But yes, the 80's had a lot of good hits. Like Back to the Future, this film and the second have pretty good continuity. They mention the police precinct attack in the next film. Did you notice one of the cops also played Bishop the android in Aliens? And that one of the punks in the beginning, when Arnold gets his clothes, was played by Bill Paxton, who also played Hudson in Aliens; "Game over, man" lol. The Terminator series struggles with its own timeline the further into you get. The result of different directors, different writers, and big gaps of IRL time between filming. Here is a Terminator series list: Terminator 1 and 2 absolute cream of the crop, which left a lot to live up to for the next films. Terminator 3 is ehh, Terminator 4 and 5 are a bit of a decline, popularity-wise, but tell an interesting story, and Terminator 6 is a great comeback to the series. There is also a Terminator TV show call the Sarah Conner Chronicles that picks up right after Terminator 2, ignoring the plots of of the later films in an attempt to redirect the series (alternate timeline attempt). It only ran 2 seasons and then was cancelled but it was not bad. Summer Glau, River from Firefly, stars in it. Then we have the games. Terminator 2 was fantastic at the time. Side scrolling, on rails, shooter for the arcade. Every thing else was meh until Terminator: Resistance. FPS magic. During the future war. The music is perfect, the graphics are really good and simple, game play is simple but interesting. Really good story. Like idk what it is but there have been some real killer games from less popular studios on 80's dystopian franchises happening these day. Terminator: Resistance, Robocop: Rogue City, and Mad Max. Sleeper hits.

2025-01-27 09:38:15 +0000 UTCMy favorite part of this movie is right before the terminator crashes into the police station, we see him awkwardly move his head so he can examine every part of the wall. Since he is a machine, what he is actually doing is scanning the features to determine how much force is needed to break through. A small detail that shows the effort that both Cameron put into making the movie and Arnold put into the role.

2025-01-27 05:53:58 +0000 UTCThat cut is not widely available for streaming. Also it's not on the bluray: Theatrical, Special Edition, Extended Special Edition. The viewers would be like the 1 %.

2025-01-27 02:18:14 +0000 UTCFor some reason, I wanted to watch Natalie Gold's reaction to Terminator this evening so I did. Then Vicky posted HER reaction and I wanted to watch it enough that I watched the film twice in a row. Vicky your reaction was WONDERFUL, in my humble opinion. You got so IN to the story and the risks that are presented onscreen. Cameron really did hit this one out of the park. One of the small details that is shown in the book but not the film is that after each kill, the terminator took an exacto razor and made a cut going from the ankle to the knee. The reason for this is that one of the few pieces of intel that Skynet had about Sarah was that she had a titanium pin in her leg from an old injury. This injury ACTUALLY OCCURRED in the factory when Sarah was evading the half-terminator and the diminished cyborg was grabbing for her ankle. IT actually broke her ankle bone at one point. The thing is, even if he had killed HER too, say, by gunshot, the pin that he would be looking for as verification that she is the correct Sarah would NOT have been present......
