Love the little detail back at Kim's place, where they are speaking about Howard, and Jimmy asks - with the light on - "why did I get suckered into fighting Howard?". Kim switches off the light, holds his hand, so that they form the shape of an "M", like they did when they went after Chuck, and in that darkness, whispers "because you know what happens next". Its actually bordering evil what she is pushing here now on Howard; even Jimmy is only in this to please her. She has become Giselle Goodman now. Werner's wife going missing - presumed dead - would raise alarm bells for Gus. They'd definitely be keeping an eye out for any news on her. Oh, and the boxing scene was choreographed by The Twins! Btw Bob and Patrick Fabian as Howard, are both very fit mid-50's guys. If you remember Bob back in his first appearance in Breaking Bad, he was very chubby and started slimming in the show. I think he was offered the part of Nobody before filming season 6 here, which is an action flick (and apparently very good) during this, so got in shape. However the strain may have been a bit much for him, considering filming the episode with THAT SCENE, he had a big heart-attack! Thank goodness he pulled through though. Patrick I believe (like the actress who plays Wendy, and I note she has great legs perhaps because of this) is a long-distance runner, so keeps himself in good shape.

He is also seen pacing the distance from an object on the ground to that heavy machinery. May or may not come up later in the season

Remember the last time we saw them mentioned, he was sampling them to the people at Madrigal...specifically his boss Herr Schueler. When he offered them to the customer, that triggered the memory. He knows Lalo is in Germany, looking into any loose end he can. And while I don't think Lalo necessarily wanted to kill her, I don't think he would hesitate to if it came down to it. The main reason he didn't is he didn't want to tip Gus off to where he is and who he was digging into for information. If the wife of the architect suddenly turned up dead or missing, that would absolutely tip Gus off.

Maybe not as Howard, but that's equally understandable because he doesn't have all the context we do on Jimmy. So quite literally, none of this is deserved on Howard's part. Aside from some comments of him being maybe out of touch or being a dick, that's no more than anyone else in this universe. He's a decent person, and that's kind of all you can ask for. Seeing that it's come to him literally asking Jimmy to duke it out cause he doesn't know what else to do, shows just how far off the deep end Jimmy and Kim's chicanery has gotten.

2024-11-27 09:06:31 +0000 UTCHoward isn't very good at the deeply secret "let's fuck with this guy" kind of stuff. Unless it's Kim and he's passively-aggressively punishing her as an employee. They are both great lawyers and charismatic in their own ways, but Jimmy is far more street smart and unethical when he wants to be. He did handle it in an 'honorable' way though, but Howard really only sees it as something personal. Like 'I guess I was unfair to Jimmy and he wants revenge on me' but doesn't realize the depth of it.

2024-11-27 08:07:55 +0000 UTCHoward isn't really trying to help Jimmy. It's a beef and Howard is trying to squash it as honorably as he can. But its not his job to "help" Jimmy with his issues. He's just trying to end this in as dignified a way as he can. But of course, Jimmy probably isn't done, cause he just can't let go, just like what he did to Chuck. 😤 Honestly, what he did with the boxing is much better than him just finding Jimmy in public and assaulting him, which I think a lot of people would do. He was trying to make a point that he's done with this, and he's not going to continue to take this slander that Jimmy is throwing his way. I love that even after everything, Howard is handling this pretty damn gentlemanly. 😅
