Better Call Saul S6 Episode 3 | Full Length Reaction!

All I can say is... my heart hurts... ๐Ÿ’”

Whats great about the Nacho death scene, is that every one of those standing there, and Mike, are all dead men; BUT Nacho is the only one, who went out on his terms, like an absolute boss! Hector needlessly shooting him after he's dead, just makes him look small. So good. Michael Mando owned it.

Nacho went out on top. He accomplished his goal, and he gets props for the one of the best monologues in the entire series (Better Call Saul AND Breaking Bad) โ€œโ€ฆAnd when youโ€™re in your nursing home sucking down Jell-O shots every night YOU THINK OF MEEEโ€ฆ you twisted fuck.โ€ The sheer amount of emotion and venom in that line should have given Michael Mando an Emmy.

Philip Isley

Yeah definitely not popular enough, all we can do is keep nagging her to watch it but in a nice way of course, "good things come to those who wait"

Matt

You're a subscriber of James right? I think we're the only ones here who truly appreciate how phenomenal this show is, it's so frustrating that it kinda went under the radar

Mathieu Paquin

Also please watch MR ROBOT after BCS, please please please ๐Ÿ™ โค

Nacho was one of my personal favorite characters so obviously sad to see him go but that final speech he gives to Hector is awesome, when he says "I put you in that chair" LEGENDARY!!!

Matt

I never knew that. Thanks for sharing

Michael Mando gets some of the best roles with the best lines. He deserves them because his delivery is so good. Nacho Varga and Vaas Montenegro are amazing roles for him.

I actually got to meet Michael Mando, Nacho's actor, a little over a week ago at a convention. Got my picture taken with him and everything. He is a really cool dude! He talked about how the phone call scene was the most emotional scene in the show for him since he lost his own father only a few months before filming it. None of the emotion you see in the scene was planned out in advance or directed. It was just him letting his real feelings of saying goodbye to his own father out on camera. He said he didn't even know if he would cry or not and wouldn't try to force that, but whatever happened would be real. I think it is an incredibly impressive performance. Also being willing to share such authentically personal emotions with the world braver than I could be. Big respect to him for that.

Nacho's story really is a case of uncontrollable spiralling and how one small bad mistake can end up with you shooting yourself in the head in the middle of a desert to not be tortured by rivalling cartel factions. Every time he tried to resolve his mistake it made it worse He gets in working with Tuco. Tuco starts mething it up & becomes erratic so he has him imprisoned which a) promotes him to Tuco's place and b) starts the Hector v Mike feud which leads to Mike compromising Hector's business causing Hector to go after Nacho's dad's business. So Nacho tries to take Hector out which a) promotes him again, to Hector's place and b) gets him caught by Gus who makes him his slave and a pawn in the Salamanca v Fring war. By this point it's impossible for him to get out. What a tragedy of a story. Glad that Michael Mando basically got an episode to himself. His acting was phenomenal start to finish, especially as he doesn't naturally speak spanish. Great reaction V! Each episode this season is a treat

If you think about it Nacho was Breaking Good in this show.

The first time I watched this episode I felt so devastated, Nacho truly deserved better. At least he went out like a warrior, his last speech was so fucking satisfying, the acting was top tier

Mathieu Paquin

Who hates Howard? Heโ€™s so great!

Well, it was 6:40am for me, and I'd just got up.

This was the moment for me. The menacing, sheer FURY of how Nacho delivered that line when he was speaking to Hector, that I was sold on binging this show. I had tried once or twice post-Breaking Bad but it was too slow-burn for me at first. When I saw that scene, I wanted more. More of Mike's backstory. What I got, was so much more than that though, in addition to that itself. RIP Ignacio "Nacho" Varga. He really did deserve better.

I love nacho and his final scene was so damn good ๐Ÿ˜ญ

You know something I noticed after Nacho, is that he was kind of a pre alpha version of Jesse. Mike and Nacho had a very similar relationship to Mike and Jesse. After wanting to help Nacho, and seeing that he couldn't, I really like the idea that he also was on the lookout even more to be there for Jesse in Breaking Bad. Especially after Gus is killed, and Walt is just on his full ego maniac tirade, Mike really looks out for him, and wants Jesse to look out for himself. It just makes it all the more tragic, what eventually happens to Mike, and hell, even though he didn't die, Jesse still went through hell regardless of Mike wanting to help him out. Man, the Breaking Bad universe is not a happy one at all ๐Ÿ˜ญ
