2024-10-14 02:33:07 +0000 UTCThe 2 main things I love about this episode are that it shows Aang is growing up a lot since the first season and that he is learning to be a good avatar without formal training. He saw that Katara was just sitting alone and convinces her to come dance. When she gets nervous he calms her down in a very mature way that oozes rizz everywhere. Earlier in the show, he fumbled his words and didn't get to kiss Katara in the SECRET TUNNELLLLLLLL, but now he's out here leading and making her feel comfortable. Which, I mean, is super attractive. I also like how, like you said, the kids are like robots or just brainwashed to think the fire nation is the best and always right and that the war is justified. Aang comes in and breaks them out of that and shows them how to think for themselves and embrace their individuality. In my mind that brings hope that in a similar way, Aang can bring the nations together in peace, like the Avatar should. He isn't there yet, but it's signs that he's becoming who he needs to be to achieve that.

I would go along with that thought. what always struck me is the old ladies in the previous episode announcing the return of Azula and Zuko... they had always reminded me of a lady I've seen doing the news casts for north korea. same energy in my opinion. Also I found it amusing... V: lets see if the new voice actor is going to sound like him (Iroh) Iroh: ... π but still love how they could have Iroh tell a story without saying a word. Looking forward to the rest of the season <3
