Better Call Saul S5 Episode 9 | Full Length Reaction!

Comments

I was petrified for Kim that scene. We knew she wasn't in Breaking Bad, but I didn't want her going out this way, and those damn Salamanca's, you never know what they are going to do. As charming as Lalo is, he is every bit as psychotic as the rest of them, so that really could have went either way. Kim was defending Saul as if he were in court, and she gave the best performance of her life.

Saltire

You said that when he drank the PP, Saul became a changed man. I definitely agree with you there

That scene where Saul is in the bathtub and tells Kim to look in the bag and she sees the money, and sees the cup with the bullet hole in it and he says "that's what it's all about" - I think that shows that this is where he is now. I've always loved Mike as a character, and episodes like the one before this one and this one, really made me like him even more.

almost season 6 which is my favorite season!

First time I saw this ep, I KNOW I didn't breathe for those last minutes. This is 5th or 6th (7th maybe even?) time now for me and it's STILL that tense / intense!

Before you began this journey, a lot of us told you something like: "This is some of the BEST television EVER PRODUCED." Right there was one of the best examples of that statement; and your reactions to all of this have been some of the most genuinely enjoyable reactions I have ever seen - to anything. There aren't enough hearts I can click on to show that. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Now, to your remarks about, "...This episode is making me feel tense..." and "...I feel like my heart is going to burst out of my chest..." I think it is safe to say that pretty much every episode from here to the end will invoke similar feelings. It's just the way the show is, and it's why the bold statement at the top is so apt.

That last scene was so intense. I had the feeling that i didnt breathe for 10 minutes when i first watched that episode.

Its similar in the states. Only difference from your statement is that here, 10% is taken from the bail money when it is returned for court, legal, and state fees.

That was a good episode. I immediately went to the same idea Kim had. An abandoned vehicle in the middle of the desert is a magnet for bored teens/twenty-somethings with a gun, lol. I've seen abandon ghost towns shot up and full of random burned piles that were clearly makeshift bonfires, lol. I'm glad the trauma that Jimmy is experiencing isn't getting glossed over and even discussed with another character that has been through hell multiple times. A lot of people talk a lot of game until the bullets start flying. There is a saying, 'you never until you've been tested'. We can believe in ourselves, feed our egos, until the cows come home but until we actually go through something, you can never tell how you'd react or how well you handle it. First time is always, obviously, the most impactful but after that experience, you now know what part of yourself you need to train in order to be better the next time. How to handle yourself better, how to react better, how to be more useful in a tough situation.

bail money (at least here in the UK) gets held until the trial is over then it should be returned. It's insurance in case the defendant doesn't turn up. Unfortunately bail bonds are controversial in the sense that those unable to afford bail are kept inside wether guilty or not, and on the flipside, in lalos case, the ones who are guilty but can afford to "jump bail" get released and don't return.
