So here we are... entering the Final Book of Avatar: The Last Airbender - Book 3: Fire 🔥
My heart breaks knowing this is the beginning of the end of this remarkable show but I do have quite a bit of comfort knowing that at least The Legend of Korra exists.. 🥲🥲 if I begin to get incredibly sentimental towards this show, PLEASE DON'T JUDGE. It has grown very near and dear to my heart. ❤️

Some would consider the 2010 film a rite of passage :P

2024-10-04 02:55:23 +0000 UTCWhen I first watched this episode live I thought it was one of those cliche dream sequences is, but I loved how subvert your expectations, and leave you with questions that aren’t answered right away in the episode. I loved how they touched on Katara’s relationship with her dad, but had them patch it up this episode, and not drag it out throughout the season. I loved the parallels between Aang, and Zuko, and how when Aang left the gang it mirrored how it similar to how he ran away from the air temple. I don’t know if this was the creators intentions, but I always thought we didn’t get the full reveal of Ozai until now was because it was through the eyes of Zuko. Zuko was banished, and wasn’t allowed to return home, and see his dad again until he restored his honor. Now that he did he, and us the audience finally get to see him. Korra is ok, but doesn’t hold a candle to the original. Also don’t waste your time with horrific 2010 live action movie. It ain’t worth your time. Hope you feel better soon!

I know alot of people don't like it, and I myself have my own personal gripes with it and some choices made (particularly season 2), but I still really enjoy it and I think you will too! Also this is my favorite season of this show, and I really can't wait for a personal favorite of mine, episode 6

You're looking fine, my girl, hope you're feeling better since this was recorded a little bit ago In regards to Katara's skills, in the beginning of the first season, Master Pakku tells Katara that she's improved faster than any pupil he's ever had and then makes a reference to Aang, who is naturally gifted, and how coasting off natural talent isn't the same. That's why she's "master Katara" after that. She puts in the hard work and dedication to become one of the greatest water benders ever. I love that Aang to Zuko transition shot when Aang mentions his honor. The show is blurring the line between Aang's struggles and Zuko's struggles. Aang doesn't want to hide because he feels like a coward, and he did run before. Zuko wants his father's love, but he feels like he doesn't deserve it, but he also has reason to believe that he's lying to everyone. It's so fascinating and I love this show so much The Zuko and Mei relationship kinda comes out of nowhere except a throwaway line and then the whole thing with Azula and the apple in the flashback with their mom. I love the dynamic with the fire nation royal family. Ozai is the behind the scenes, doesn't go much ultimate baddie. Azula is the cunning and way too badass actual threat baddie. Zuko is the one who has more character and depth and isn't as clearly evil, but does some pretty awful things. It's such a great dynamic of different kinds of villains. Also idk if it's been mentioned, I'm sure it has, but Mark Hamill voices Ozai and now that it's season 3 we're sure to hear him more 😁

2024-10-03 05:38:28 +0000 UTCWhen this episode first came out.. I literally had to double to check because I thought I had missed some episodes, I was like.. what is happening?! what did I miss? When the captured ship and the fire nation ship are fighting, seeing Katara doing all those awesome water bender moves in that red cape... especially the scene where she gives them cover, always reminds me of Tetsuo in Akira after his transformation and he has on the red cape. I love the little throwbacks to characters we've seen like Princess Yue, and the Refugee couple from zuko alone and the serpents pass. Some of my other favourites in this episode.. the transition from Aang needing his honor back, to Zuko, and the voice acting... especially from Katara when she is talking to her dad ::chefs kiss:: Can't wait to see you react to the rest of this seasons <3
