2024-09-26 03:10:03 +0000 UTCThe very obvious sexual overtones to the design of the Alien plays to the theme of rape that plays an important part of the franchise. They actually had to tone it down and change the design of the Alien Egg which originally had 2 flaps not four flaps and look like a woman parts and the studio said absolutely not and basically forced them to change it. The Alien was designed by artist H.R.Geiger. They have greatly expanded the lore of the Alien franchise with books and comic. The downfall of Hadley’s Hope colony is depicted in the book Alien: River of Pain and is a great and very suspenseful read. This is a well known fact that Paul Reiser’s ( who played Carter Burke) mother actually cheered when Burke was killed by the Aliens.

I personally would suggest not watching any of the shitty films that come after it though. I don't know if you recognized the actress who played Vasquez but she was the foster care mother to John Connor in Terminator Two. I'm sure I will also NOT be the only one to mention that Bill Paxton has the honor of being the only actor to have been killed onscreen by a xenomorph, a terminator AND a yautja. TMYK May I also suggest the films Megan and Abigail as potential halloween-esque fare. I think you would enjoy both of them.

I have some Halloveen movie suggestions; 1) Abigail 2) Trick r Treat(2007) 3)Fright Night (old 80s one) 4) Halloween 2(1981) 5)Christine 6)Monster Squad 7)Carrie (old one) 8) It (new one) 9)Hatchet 10)Doctor Sleep ( only if you've seen The Shining). Halloween and Halloween 2 take place on the same night and ends the storyline at the conclusion of part 2. Love ur channel. Happy Halloveen!

The Xenomorphs are a life form that spreads rapidly, so simplistic designs based off the parts of the anatomy that are specifically for breeding makes sense in nature. If it scares you, well, like all art, it is meant to force self-reflection on why it makes you uncomfortable. There was no self-destruct. You were talking over the scene that explained that the nuclear reactor was overloading due to the shuttle crashing into the building that housed the reactor. Bishop determined they had 4hrs before the reactor blew which is when they hatched the plan to send Bishop out to repair the transmitter to call down the second shuttle from the space ship. Notice this was directed by James Cameron and NOT Ridley Scott? Ridley Scott directed the first Alien film. Alien was his baby. But the studios wanted more and Ridley didn’t like the direction it was going. So they brought in James Cameron. Alien 3 and Alien Resurrection are a sharp turn off the original style of the films, with Resurrection having a bit of slap-stickiness to it. Then you have the 2 Alien versus Predator movies. Just fun action, not a lot of substance but some lore. Then Ridley Scott took over again by rebuilding his idea with Prometheus, Alien: Covenant, and Alien: Romulus. These 3 films give a huge amount of background on the Xenomorphs. The first film, Alien, takes place after Alien: Covenant and before Alien: Romulus, then Aliens comes after Romulus. SO, there is a shell of a chronological order/timeline to these films plus the 5 Predator films, sort of. It goes; Prey, Predator, Predator 2, Alien vs. Predator, Alien vs. Predator: Requiem, Predators, The Predator, Prometheus, Alien: Covenant, Alien, Alien: Romulus, Aliens, Alien 3, and finally Alien: Resurrection.

It would certainly make for some interesting discussion. Also, this is the perfect movie for me to watch right now after eye surgery, snice I've seen it a million times, I can lay in bed and not have to pay much attention to the movie.
