We love Kim, but Rich is right and he sees right through it. She also tries to force his hand by making their argument public, but fair play to him, he stood his ground. Kim is going down a dangerous path here, not just for this case but for her entire career. Jimmy's influence is now really rubbing off on her in a negative way. There are other reasons she is acting like this, some justified, but this is risking disbarment if they found out she was behind all this. Its heavily inferred that Gus and Max were lovers too. Gus is not someone to get his heckles up about someone who was just a business partner, even if they were shot right in front of him. He says to Walt when he convinces him to head up the lab, something of the lines of family meaning everything; and he mentions his own. However, note the several times we are in his house (one of his houses), there is no photos of family members. Suggesting he was just manipulating Walt to get him to start cooking for him. Also brief bit of trivia. Jimmy mentioning the side-sitter joke, is such a Seinfeld comment. And Bob Odenkirk (and Bryan Cranston for that matter) were in several episodes of the great Seinfeld back in the 90's.

2024-12-27 04:47:16 +0000 UTCIf you like the adobe style houses in this episode's "Mexico village scenes," you should visit Santa Fe, New Mexico! The scenes were filmed in what's called El Rancho de las Golondrinas, just outside of Santa Fe. It's a real 18/19th century Spanish village. The city of Santa Fe passed laws stating that basically all buildings need to be in the Adobe Pueblo style of architecture, just like you see in those Gus' Mexico Village scenes. The Adobe style uses a dried-mud brick made of earth, water and usually some kind of organic binding material like straw or grass to form the brown houses you see. Nearly every business from grocery stores, electronic stores, fast food places, restaurants, hotels, and houses are in that style. The downtown area even furthers that, making it look like a small cozy and earth-like village! PS: These next 5 episodes are some of the best run in television since Breaking Bad's To'hajiilee, Ozymandias, Granite State run :) Buckle up!

2024-09-11 04:02:29 +0000 UTCFor sure. You're totally right. But I think she's a bit confused in herself as to why she's sticking to the lie and the scam. That's more what I was getting at

2024-09-10 23:59:55 +0000 UTCI think Kim’s public outburst is also intended to control the narrative. If Rich suspects what she’s doing, there’s no telling who else might be thinking or talking the same way. By choosing to fight in front everyone, she’s making a display of how angrily offended she is as the mere thought of it. She gets to call out the seeming absurdity of the accusation in front people who would likely never dare to ask her about it themselves.

2024-09-10 21:55:20 +0000 UTCI really love the reasons why Mike joins Gus. We know Mike understands revenge. And they also both despise the Salamancas. It's so interesting that he joins not really just for money, but because he agrees with Gus on just how terrible they are and that they need to go. Also, I'm not sure if you know this, but it's actually kind of implied with how Hector has spoken to or about Gus and Max, (Calling them the "Butt Brothers" in Season 3, or in Breaking Bad, sating they "like what they see" when he was peeing in the pool) that they might have been.... a little more than just friends. Which would explain just how intense the loss is for Gus, he didn't just lose a friend, he lost a partner, and not just a business one. Kim is one of my favorite characters in the Breaking Bad universe. It's so interesting how she's walking the line with being such a good lawyer and sticking up for the little people, but also she risks being just like the worst parts of Jimmy, her not liking Howard, and doing all these "scams" even though they're really just smear campaigns lol 😅 just hurting his reputation and making him look terrible. Rhea Seehorn brings such a strong presence when she's on screen, Kim is amazing 🙌

2024-09-10 20:01:42 +0000 UTCSo Mr X was meant to be the return of Bill Burr's character, Patrick Kuby, but unfortunately Burr was busy on another job so they brought back Steven Ogg's character from S1 E9 when Mike takes his first job from the vet. I interpret Kim's reaction to being called out as her also being slightly confused as to why she's doing it too. She's not enjoying her Mesa Verde work and the fact that she's unable to change Kevin's mind, feeling that same lack of control she felt at HHM.
