Nothing about this show feels forced and I LOVE that about it. The writing is incredible.

There is no way a character that behaves the way he does for decades, has a complete 180 in the span of one episode, saying the precise and exact words that Johnny wants to hear. Kreese is a career vet. He's just got to have psychological tactics training. He sees enemies and challenges everywhere. Johnny said it. He wasn't taught the difference between honor and mercy. Kreese sees both as weakness. Human society is no different than the jungle, to Kreese. Kreese embodies the projected ideas of a snake. I've always had a problem with people comparing things and life in a society to the animal kingdom. Similarities exist, sure, but people use the animal kingdom comparison to justify being abusive, being manipulative, taking advantage of situations that harm others, stepping on the weak to advance themselves.
