Hey V, something I don't think you picked up on yet.: Nacho's friend Domingo (the one Nacho chose as his number 2 when NACHO was made number 1, in between Hector's demise and Lalo's appearance,) is the guy Walter White killed in episode 2 of Breaking Bad in Jesse's basement. He was Walter's first kill. Jesse knew him as Crazy 8 because his ole partner did time with him. This episode, S5-E2, is where Crazy 8 gets his name, and his arrest is likely how he met Jesse's meth partner. Not crucially important to the Jimmy, Mike or Kim arcs, but still a super cool egg. Too bad you missed it :(

2024-11-24 18:30:25 +0000 UTCBased on how this show does flashbacks (blue filter), early on in the series (season 1), we get a flashback to when Mike first arrived in Albuquerque via train. He arrived with a bullet in his shoulder, which we later found out happened because he got his revenge of Mike's son's killers. Stacy picks Mike up at the train station, and then we see them have an argument over Stacy wondering what was happening with her husband in that last few weeks or days before his death. Mike doesn't explain, then we jump to present day season 1 where Mike and Stacy's relationship is strained. Eventually, in episode Five-O, Mike explains what Matty was mixed in, as well as confessing his own involvement, and suggesting that he killed the cops. Mike and Stacy's relationship is fine, as we see them happily waving at each other in Breaking Bad in a brief scene where Mike pick's up Kaylee. Also, the actress for Kaylee in this season is adifferent actress. Season 4's finale presented the first instance Mike kills someone not out of self defense. In Breaking Bad, we see him killing people no problem, but based on how reluctant and regretful Mike appeared when having to kill Werner, it can be inferred that he is struggling to cope with being essentially a hitman. We know that Mike drinks himself unconscious whenever he is going through a rough personal struggle, based on him saying that in season 1 regarding his son's death. Also, as someone mentioned, when the cartel guys are playing cards at the table, Lalo calls Domingo "Ocho Loco," which is spanish for "Krazy Eight," which is his nickname origin story.

2024-08-15 06:17:09 +0000 UTCI’ve never really been able to verbalize it, but those two shots definitely feel connected somehow. Just the geometry and ground level view. Your take is as good as any I’ve ever been able to think up.

2024-08-14 19:11:52 +0000 UTCpretty sure no one got that but I just love the details in this series. Just before the intro it zooms into the garden gnome which is missing a piece. And the closing shot is the ice cream and the shape of the ice cream and the missing piece of the gnome are matching

2024-08-14 15:48:49 +0000 UTCI think the part with Mike and Kaylee had to do with Mike blaming himself for Werner’s death. Before Mike killed the cops that killed Matty, he told them, “You killed him for nothing. Just because you were scared of what you thought he might do” Kaylee asking about her dad, how good he was, and how the “bad guys got him” confronted Mike with the fact that he’s no better than the people that killed his son.

2024-08-14 06:17:19 +0000 UTCSaul has properly arrived, but he’s not yet battle tested. The mint chocolate chip ice cream actually becomes a symbol of sorts. A bit of a stand-in for the riches (money is also green) that Jimmy is so eager to consume with his new persona. Jimmy thinks adopting the Saul persona means it’s smooth sailing from here on out. The re-introduction of the cartel element suggests it’s not so simple.
