I can’t believe we’re already almost done with Season 4…. 2 more episodes to go then onto S5!

2024-12-26 00:48:41 +0000 UTCSo it's been years since I've seen this show up thru season 5 (never seen 6), and I can only really remember like 4 or 5 island moments from 5. Basically, I'm flying about as blind as you are at this point. Everything that happens is kind of an 'Oh yeah, forgot about this!' deal. Ergo, I can kind of theorize with ya. We know that Kim is definitely not in Jimmy's life in Breaking Bad, so of course they have a permanent separation of characters somehow, and I think that Kim realizing she's becoming "Slippin' Kimmy" plays a huge role in that breaking away form him. I like how they're starting as early as this season to start setting the stage for their breaking apart. Kim is such a great character (phenomenally performed my Rhea btw) that anything less than two and a half season's worth of story on how that happens would feel disrespectful.

2024-07-22 00:17:34 +0000 UTCI think you're making ADA Ericsen a bit too much into a villain here. I'm not a lawyer but I read the scenes with her that she's the one being "normal". She's not being overly draconian in a way that would be unusual in a case like Huell's. You can still criticize the way prosecutors do things in general, the way that the justice system works (or doesn't) in the US but it seems to me like she's just a cog in the system here. She doesn't have any personal animous against Huell other than some contempt that she probably has for most petty criminals, in the same way that probably most prosecutors do. And the fight that Kim is putting up before the flood of envelopes comes in probably *is* pretty ridiculous and also ultimately pointless in a case like Huell's, whether the sentence that Suzanne Ericsen is fighting for is fair or not. As an ADA and by the rapport we see her having with Kim, it's clear that she and Kim have worked on many cases together, worked out many deals before and Suzanne seems to generally respect Kim. So she's probably right that Huell wouldn't be Kim's usual clientele (who seem to be more "respectable" or "redeemable" in some sense most of the time) and that it's very weird what she's doing here.

And Jimmy just follows her around like a puppy wagging his tail waiting for her to give him a treat (a scam). 3. Pay attention to Kim's earrings, necklace, and how tight her pony tail is "wrapped" at certain times.

2024-07-19 19:00:47 +0000 UTCI think Jimmy has certainly corrupted Kim to an extent by giving her a tease of the easy-con life with their Viktor & Giselle exploits, but I also think she's dragged herself into it. She's repeatedly looked for an escape from the Mesa Verde work that she seems to find rather tedious and unimportant. Before she focused that energy into honest pro-bono work, but now she's refocused it toward schemey lawyering. Kim did it because she genuinely thinks the ADA overplayed her hand. Jimmy did it simply because he gets a thrill out of it + Huell is his friend. But now it seems Kim is stepping into Jimmy territory and wants to do it again for the thrill. After all, it saved their relationship. Also, welcome Lalo! An awesome character! Poor Nacho can't seem to get a break from these f'ing Salamancas. Guy's clearly had enough. One would think he's almost living the ideal bachelor life. Great income, nice car, nice house, 2 doting girls, yet he's evidently frustrated and stressed. He's also scared of the world he's got himself into, hence him getting fake Canadian IDs made for him & his father in case they need to run.

Something occurred to me while watching I hadnt thought of before. And I cant say anything cuz well, i dunno how youd take it. And for possible 'what-could-be-perceived-as' spoiling. PS - thnx for the cat :) So beautiful. I need another one. Had to put mine down last year. Was a bummer. But he was sick and wasnt eating and losing mad weight. So it was for the best. He was about 10 yrs old. Thanks V. Always enjoy the reactions. Love this show. So good.

What surprised me about Lalo though, is he's got this positive, almost friendly persona about him. Given his....affiliation, I honestly think that makes him even MORE chilling, as a villain archetype of character. Evil. With a smile.
