"Chuck is despicable" - I wonder if you'll call Jimmy that after the next episode. I doubt it, but lets see.

We still need a "My Attorney Ernie" spinoff

VEE MAKING US WAIT FOR THE NEXT EPISODE IS PURE CHICANERY

MrAlexSan

This gave us the proper build up not only for the next episode, but the future partnership between Mike and Gus. It would be putting it lightly to say everyone is anticipating the next reaction.

If I thought about it too much I’d develop a migraine 😂

Maybe you should find either a soundbite or a short video clip of Daffy Duck saying, "Yooouu're Desthhpicable..." and play that instead of saying it. xD xD I can't help but hear it in my head when you say it. xD

MertzRocks

Ate you sure Chuck is in the wrong? Sure, he’s an asshole, but he was right about what Jimmy did and it wasn’t legal and because of that Chuck lost a client worth a lot to his company through no fault of his own.

Burrit0

Yes, exactly, that camera angle was clearly supposed to be foreshadowing. Or is it foreshadowing if we've already seen the thing? xD Backshadowing? ^^' Just a reference?

Christophe

Thank you, came here to say this. Same with his insistance on "destroyed a cassette tape". He settled with "item of personal property" because obviously that's gonna raise eyebrows and make people ask what that item was so it essentially achieves the same thing. He just wants as much focus on this tape in all of the discovery as possible so that it seems more important to the case so that the disciplinary board will feel like they have no choice but to allow it to be heard. This is what bothers me with V's often passionate dismissal of Chuck. Like I get it, he's clearly the party in the wrong here, he's petty and vindictive and has long since stopped doing any of this for moral reasons. But it feels like she's often overlooking small things like this because she's just so convinced that anything and everything Chuck does is just because he's evil. And you can argue that he is evil but he's also still smart and tactical ^^

Christophe

Chuck takes petty to another level...LOL

Can’t believe we’re almost at Chicanery. We are entering apex level television folks.

Something else I just noticed. The last we see of Don Eladio in BB is him floating face down in the pool from an underwater angle. Now we are introduced to him in BCS with another underwater camera shot.

In the opening flashback, Jimenez was the driver of the Ice Cream truck in S2E9 “Nailed” that Mike disabled with his homemade spike strip and robbed. Later in that episode, Nacho confronts Mike about the robbery and informs him that Hector suspects the driver of being involved. Nacho also reveals that Hector murdered the Good Samaritan who untied the driver. Jimenez is then executed while Mike is trying to snipe Hector in S2E10 “Klick”. Gus wanted Hector to use the chicken trucks for transporting the product. That was the reason for his smirk as he tossed the ball of foil into the trash can. Hector got played. I took Kim’s “bingo” to mean she and Jimmy want the tape to be played at the bar hearing. She is basically saying “Please don’t throw me into the briar patch”. 😂

Tim Martin

Jimmy's apology wasn't necessarily a ploy to trick the ADA, but was a way of saying to Chuck that he's also in the wrong: "no-one should treat his own brother like that." It's telling Chuck that he also shouldn't be treating Jimmy how he is because they're brothers. Chuck has clearly had enough with Jimmy and is treating the case against him like he would any other, even being so rigorous as to demand an extra $2.98 in compensation. There's no brotherliness in Chuck at the moment.

I think that "Bingo" could mean 2 things. One, confirmation there is a second tape. what they plan to do about that, idk, but I hope its sketchy and fun, lol. Second, that might just be enough to get a foot in the door on Chuck setting up Jimmy, thus a counter to motive. A lawyer can't set someone up to commit a crime in order to nail them, at least not if the opposing counsel can prove it was a set up. A lawyer cannot entrap someone to commit a crime. Police can, but not a lawyer. It shows an antagonistic behavior in the victim and possibly can set grounds for a pattern of behavior. It doesn't dismiss what Jimmy did but possibly could reduce the felony to a misdemeanor. A classic Hatfields and McCoys case, brother vs brother/neighbor vs neighbor brickering that the courts just ain't got time for, lol. And first offense on Jimmy's part so leniency is a high probability.

Raptor

Chuck didn’t need 2 dolars, he needed the tape in which Jimmy confesses to committing a crime to be officially mentioned in this case.

Next Episode will be peak.

This was the episode where Mike went from being a fixer, to being....a fixer. Next on deck is the infamous "Chicanery" episode. I'm not saying a word on that; you gotta go into that one for yourself. I remember thinking the first time I watched this series that there was some sort of ongoing theme throughout season 3 of insomnia. You'll understand what I mean by the end of the season, but it's something I noticed with quite a few of the main characters. No one's really sleeping or if they are, they're not sleeping much.
