I feel like we just began Better Call Saul but here we are... on the third season already LAWD time goes by so quick LOL (or am I just bingeing too hard 😆)
I was nervous getting into this episode after the season 2 finale... and.... let's just say this did not comfort my concerns LMAO I feel tense going into the next episode and just want the best for all characters 🥲🥲

Id like to think in real life that tape recorder wouldnt catch a single sound of what jimmy said due to all the shifting noises that space blanket chuck is wearing is making lol

2024-04-17 21:23:59 +0000 UTCYeah I agree on the Mike scenes, I love that they go there, that they have that much trust in the editing and the cinematography and the music and everything else that makes these scenes, to carry it without it getting boring. Not every show could pull that off. And it's also something very unique to TV which is why I often prefer good TV to movies, because you have time for scenes like this that are just the purest forms of good film-making and you don't need to get distracted by needing to constantly move the plot along.

This season really pays off everything that has happened at this point. I could also watch Mike do his thing for forever. He seems to always find a way to outsmart everyone but might he have met his match here?

It was directed by the Breaking Bad creator/writer/producer Vince Gilligan and DoP (Director of Photography) was a man called Marshall Adams. He only did 1 Breaking Bad episode (S5E01) but does almost every single episode of Better Call Saul from now on, this being his first one. Under his leadership is when this show truly does get amazing to look at. I love the Mike scenes in this episode. He's such a good silent character and it's great how they're able to broadcast what he's doing without dialogue, even if it takes a while sometimes :P The car scene(s) lasts 9m30s and has very little dialogue and the end tracker scene lasts 7m30s and has zero dialogue! Just Mike doing Mike stuff.

Ernesto doesn't have to say anything, of course, but I don't think he is bound by law to not say anything about a personal recording, not part of any legal case being handled by HHM. More of Chuck twisting perception and his perceived authority to get his way so he can punish his brother. Slimy arrogance and that villainous little smirk...and has the nerve to call his brother Slippin' Jimmy.
