This is an anime that a lot of my friends growing up were a fan of, but I myself had never seen a single episode. It seems to be one of the most iconic anime out there, and I really can't contain my excitement to begin this (hopefully) amazing anime.
(excuse the hair moving my bangs clearly had it out for me today)

I still don’t know how I feel about the show, it is rather disturbing but I’m definitely going to keep watching with you. I’ve heard so many good things about it. 2024-04-20 02:24:52 +0000 UTCyeah people don't appreciate that every thing you do takes a toll on attention. if you're forcing yourself to read, that's one moment for every word that you're not focusing on the action. or you're missing dialog. it's just like, trying to make sure you're actively engaging for the camera, being in frame, trying to pay attention to the story and react genuinely, it's clear, watch her sub vs dub aot reactions, the dub ones are better because she's enjoying and taking in more of the show "but you need to enjoy it the way I ENJOYED IT" mentality is toxic

2024-04-19 22:49:27 +0000 UTCon top of that she gets more out of the show, and misses less. less visuals to miss, and less dialog to miss if she has to reach for a tissue, or cough, or literally anything that takes your eyes off screen for even a split second you could miss a big scene like "hey I'm the armored titan and he's the colossal" and then when they start fighting your like WTF JUST HAPPENED! lol

I've watched the whole AOT on Dub along with her with no issue, although I was super sad she stopped watching dub too so she missed out on most of the art and action in the show. However people don't realize regardless of what the reactor is watching, the only difference when you watch a different version is if they quote a line directly sometimes it will be a different word than was used in that sentence in the Sub and doesn't align. but there is NO change to the reaction. and she gets to experience both visual and audio at the same time. the best way to watch something unless the dub is trash.

I spoiled a bunch for myself with AOT, wont do that with this. just gonna give it the good old collage try. Excited to check it out, and to see your reaction V!!

Here is the breakdown of different mediums Death Note has: Manga - 2003-2006 Anime - 2006-2007 - 37 episodes Japanese Live-Action Films (very good) - 5 films (6 with a spinoff short film) 2006-2016 - films 1 and 2, Death Note (2006) and Death Note: Last Name (2006), are the OG story with small changes - the other films are new stories, Matsuda spinoff (short film) (2008), L: Change the WorLd (2008, also very good), Death Note: New Generation (2016), and Death Note: Light Up the NEW World (2016). Japanese TV Drama - 2015 - only 11 episodes Netflix Film - 2017 - this is the one people say not to see Upcoming Netflix Series - ? I've only seen the anime and 3 of the Japanese live-action films. I would also recommend Parasyte - The Maxim be added to the anime list. Its got a same genera/feel as Death Note. Very clever.

I watched the first episode and wasn’t sure how I felt about it so never came back to it, but I hear from so many people that it’s really good. So this is a great excuse to finally watch. It’ll be fun to watch along with you for the first time!
