floch does have some empathy and compassion, but he's vilified the rest of the world so much in his head that he doesn't have any compassion for anyone other than eldians. he definitely cares deeply about eldia and eldians. it shows in his interactions with the main characters and other jaegerists

2024-03-18 00:35:28 +0000 UTCThis episode is in my top 5 for the entire show. There’s not really any action going on but it’s so intense anyway, and like you said a lot of that needed to come out. Since Jean is my third favorite character, you can imagine how much I loved kind of checking in with him to see where he’s at mentally. I also love the interactions between him and Reiner in this one. And then we get Levi just telling them all to be quiet. 😂 We’re closing in on the final episodes now, it was nice to have a breather here. See you for the next!

2024-03-18 00:34:17 +0000 UTCYeah this is a good one. Many seasons leading up to this especially the Marco storyline. And yeah that's jean thinking of having a family with Mikasa. With all that's happened it's easy to forget that Jean has always liked her since first sight. It was just more subtle in later seasons

Floch at the end with the crescendo violin music gives me chills, every single character is so layered and fantastic!

2024-03-17 08:25:25 +0000 UTCYeah that was 100% Mikasa. From way back in season 1, when he first saw Mikasa, Jean never stopped having a major crush on Mikasa. And the fact that he dreams about wife'ing her up, having babies with her and living a good life with her speaks to how much he likes Mikasa. Lastly, you got to make sure you have your tissues ready because there are going to be many moments where you'll need tissues. Especially if you are truly invested in the show, its story and its characters. Hajime Isayama knows how to emotionally gut punch viewers over and over again with strong emotional moments.
