I really love how this show tugs and rips at your heartstrings :')

Because my field of knowledge and research is more friendly to catch). One thing brought my attention beyond the usual. It's something related to the conception of what truth is, and what is the practical consequence of some types of concepts of truth? I'll tell you in advance: fact and truth are different things. Also, even though we have overcome the objective concept (universal and timeless) of truth and that there is a way for a person to achieve the truth by themselves (subjectively), this concept still prevails in society today (which is paradoxical, but I'll leave to you to think about that too). On AoT, we observe the King of the Walls' truth, Marley's truth, the truth told by Willy (LOL) Tybur, Eren's truth, Gabi's truth... The author of Attack On Titans is bringing academic concerns and debates to the public. Keep thinking! This is going to help you in almost every aspect of your life. P.S. This isn't legal knowledge; it is above and is interdisciplinary. And be careful of Nihilism and its conclusions. π

2024-02-04 12:20:07 +0000 UTCThe connections of Sasha and Gabi are a common story line when writing about a war between two sides that don't have all the information. Additionally, the zealotry of Gabi and Falco are great examples of how hard it is to fight against indoctrination. Falco representing someone that doesn't want to hate, and Gabi representing someone that is fully into it. Its easy to win over Falco because he wants to understand; nearly impossible to win over Gabi because she knows that hearing the other side will soften her resolve. War gives us the excuse to see lives as meaningless; makes it easier to kill your enemy. Almost all nations that have ever gone to war know this. It helps to keep your troops doing what you want done rather than what should be done. With the way the story is unfolding, Sasha's death might not be in vain. If encountering the people that Sasha touched can turn Gabi (save Gabi) then that is one more life that Sasha saved. Remember what the girl said? About going into town to see a Marlian cook that might help them get home? Remember the Marlian that became a cook on the island? The cook that was so happy to cook for Sasha?

Gabi being no different, I actually really like her entire story. Not that she was necessarily "correct" but hell, there's plenty of that to go around.

I understand the fear you have, people have strong feelings about this show and you're correct that your morals will definitely effect your opinions on some things. So....I wish you luck and low stress! I absolutely love this episode and the whole Gabi/Sasha storyline. Gabi sucks though. I know you could say she has Stockholm syndrome but she is just so hateful. Its not for killing Sasha that I dislike her. That sure didn't help but that was war and I can understand it. It's Gabi's behavior this episode and her refusal to believe the people who have been oppressing her might be lying to her that makes her so dislikeable.
